Saul is Anointed King

Saul was anointed king by the prophet Samuel. God did not want the people to have a king but the people did. God gave the people what they wanted by he said by the end they wished they never had a king.

Saul's disobedience

1028 BCE

Saul made a sacrifice to God that only the priests were supposed to. When they destroyed the Amalekites, he was supposed to destroy everything but the army brought back the king and also sheep and cattle. The spirit of the lord was no longer with him and from this point on he kept disobeying God.

David is anointed King

David is anointed king by Samuel in the presence of his brothers. Saul does not know that he is anointed, king. though David is now king he does not be respected like one and goes back to tend the sheep as a Shephard.

David defeats Goliath

Now Saul was desperate for anyone to defeat Goliath the philistine since he was so strong and tall in stature. David said he would do it. though saw doubted him his options were limited so he let him. David got 5 stones and put them in his sling. When he came up to Goliath, Goliath cursed him and his God. David swung his sling and hit Goliath in the forehead and killed him

David's friendship with Jonathon

1015 BCE

David and Jonathon show one of the best and most godly friendships in the bible. After David defeats goliath Jonathon is drawn to him bravely. Jonathon makes a covenant with David, stripping himself of his robe and armor (his privilege and position) and giving it all to David

David hiding from Saw and his protection

1014 BCE

Saw was now jealous because the people were glorifying David more than him since he defeated the Philistines. Saw ordered his soldiers to kill him while he was sleeping but David tricked them into thinking he was sick. Jonathon warned him about Saw wanting to kill him so David fled into a cave.

David destroys Ammonites

David goes to battle and destroys Ammonites

Saul's Death

1010 BCE

Saw was fighting the Amalekites. The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him critically. Saul said to his armor-bearer, ‘Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.’ But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it. his armor barrier also did the same. In just that one battle against the Amalekites saw and his three sons died.

Ravens feed Elijah

There was a famine and Elijah needs food and water. So God lets ravens give Elijah food. There was also a creek, where he drank water from.

Elijah asks Widow for food.

Elijah asks a widow for food. The widow only has one meal left. The widow gives Elijah her last meal. She then has food in her bowl forever.

Mount Carmel

840 BCE

Elijah goes against Baal on mount Carmel. So the people make a sacrifice to Baal and start cutting themselves. Baal does nothing. So Elijah makes and puts water on it. He makes a prayer and fire from the sky burns up the altar and everything around it. Then he kills the prophets of Baal.

Ahab and Ben-hadad

835 BCE

Ben-hadad takes his silver and gold and children and wives. Ben-hadad wants to take everything from the kingdom from Ahab. God tells Ahab that he will win because Ben-hadad was mocking God. The Israelites with the battle. Ben-hadad wants to fight again. So God tells Elijah that he will win again. The Syrians fill up the whole plain. The Israelites strike down 100,000 Syrians in one day with their small army. Ahab makes a peace treaty with Ben-hadad. Gods going to strike down Ahab as Ben-hadad.

Ahab and Naboth

832 BCE

Ahab wants Naboth's vineyard. Naboth does not want to sell it. Ahab's servants get criminals to make lie's about Naboth. They stone Naboth. He gets a vineyard. God says because he did this his family will suffer and his wives will get eaten by dogs and another family will be eaten by birds.

Ahab wants to win battles

830 BCE

Ahab wants a prophet from God to tell him if they will win the battle. Miciah is proficient that he will lose the battle. They lose the battle. Ahab is discretized as a prophet. The random guy is shooting arrows and hits Ahab. He dies in a chariot and the dogs lick up a puddle of blood as God said.

Jehu

Period: 830 BCE to 803 BCE

He killed everyone that followed Baal. He asked everyone if they followed Baal.

Ahaziah reign

Period: 822 BCE to 820 BCE

He tries to win a battle against an enemy that they fought against. He loses the battle. Elijah ends up killing him with fire. HE worshiped idols. He also tried to kill Elijah which backfired.

Ahaziah is fighting the ammonites because they did not want to pay a treaty every year. Then Ahaziah gets hurt. He sends 50 servants and Elijah a man of God burns 100 men. Then Elijah sends fire and kills Ahaziah

Elijah and Elisha

Elijah was getting old but Elisha followed him the whole way. He knew that he was gonna die soon and he will get his power. So before Elijah went to heaven, Elisha has a double portion of his spirit. Elijah goes up to heaven in fire chariot. Then Elisha went back and parted the river.

Jehoram

Period: 810 BCE to 798 BCE

He did not worship Baal but worshiped the golden calves. He falls into the sins of Jeroboam. God tells them that they will win against Moab and the whole dessert will be filled with water. Moab sacrifices his only son to the god to that they can win the battle. Jehoram defeats Moab.

Elijah's curse

809 BCE

Boys harass Elisha and mock his bald head. So Elisha cursed then in the lord's name and two sheep bears come and kill 42 boys.

Elisha's Miracle

805 BCE

People find nice city but there is no water or food. So Elisha tells them to bring salt. He puts salt in the river and all land and food is profitable and good to eat.

Athaliah

Period: 800 BCE to 793 BCE

Amaziah Reigns in Judah

Period: 800 BCE to 771 BCE

He was 20 years old when he began to reign. He defeats people but then worships their idols. God then tells them because of this he will not win another war.

Joash

Period: 799 BCE to 759 BCE

He is six years old when he begins to reign. He is the youngest king to ever reign. He was 130 when he died.

Azariah reigns

798 BCE

He was 16 when he began to reign and reigned for 52 years in Jerusalem. God sent down a leper to give him leprosy. He then lived by himself and died where his father was buried.

Zechariah Reign in Israel

In the 38th year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel. He was bad. He reigned six months

Uzziah Reign in Judah

He was sixteen years old when he started to reign and reigned for 52 years. He built up Judah and the aquiculture. He decided to burn to insense. The priests run after him and tell him that only the high priests can do this. He then got leprosy right away.

Ahaz

He was a bad king. His father was Jotham.

Hezekiah And the sun

750 BCE

Hezekiah is on his death bed but God says he will give him 15 more years. God makes the sun go back 10 steps. Then Babylon is wondering how he did this. So Hezekiah shows him all of Solomon's palace including the temple. So God orders him and his family and the country to be destroyed but not in his time.

Pekahiah

600 BCE

Reigned 20 years. He was king of Judah. He was assassinated by Pekah. He was an evil king who worshiped idols. Menaheim reigned before him.

Amon's Reign

580 BCE

He was 22 years old when he began to reign. He reigned 2 years in Jerusalem. He was a bad king. reigned after Manasseh.

Manasseh Reign

550 BCE

He was the worst king Israel had. He reigned for 55 years. He did everything wicked in the sight of the lord. Israel then got caught by the Assyrians. He repents to God and leads the Israelites back into God.

Josiah's reign

Josiah was 8 years old when he began to reign. He reigned for 731 years in Jerusalem.

He was eighteen years old when he became king. He reigned for 11 years in Jerusalem. He was a bad king

Jehoiachin's reign in Jerusalem

He was eighteen when he began to reign. He reigned 3 months and ten days. He was a bad king. He was captured by Babylon and his brother Zedekiah became king.
