Augustus Caesar
Ruled from 27 B.C.E to 14 CE. He was the first emperor of Rome, and was best known for declaring war on, and killing Cleopatra. -

Tiberius
He was ruler after Augustus, and adopted his son, and then proceeded to have his own kid, Julius Caesar. He also was forced to divorce his beloved wife who he was in love with, and made to marry another, who he laothed. -

Caligula
He started to rule not quite when he was 25. He eventually got a deadly disease, which made him mentally unstable. He was very obsessed with his horse, and would practice unsettling and in-human faces in the mirror. He later commit suicide in 68. -

Claudius
Claudius was seen as dimwitted by everybody, including his own mother. He drooled, limped, and would slur his words. But he had an interest in History and loved to write about it. Proving everybody wrong about his stupidity. -

Nero
Nero is one of the most infamous emperors. He killed off many Christians, and was behind many political deaths. While Rome burned, Nero just played on his lyre, as if nothing was happening. -

Galba
Galba was a man who had a reputation for cruelty and ruthlessness. Before he was the emperor, he was a leader of a troop in upper Germany. But he only served less than seven months. He later commit suicide due to "financial embarrassment" (why is this a thing?) -

Otho
He only ruled for seven months. He was considered to be one of Nero's close friends. He eventually fell in love with Poppaea, and was later murdered. -

Vitellius
Just as the other two men to rule before him, Vitellius did not rule very long. He married twice. Once to Petronania, and again to Galeria Fundana. He eventually was murdered by a guard, who was thought to be on his side. -

Vespasian
Vespasian was the last of the Emperors to rule in 69 C.E. Unlike the other emperors, Vespasian died of natural causes. He married Flavia Domitilla. After she had passed away, he remarried to Caenis. -

Titus
Titus was very well liked, and popular among the people. Before he became emperor, he was a military emperor. He died of poisoning. -
Period: 81 to 96
Domitian
He ruled after his brother, Titus. He was also very well liked, and popular. He didn't do very much for the people, although he was peaceful. He was murdered by people closest to him. -

Nerva
Nerva was, again, a very peaceful ruler. He took inspiration from the others' stability and happiness. He helped establish the "Golden Era" of Rome. -

Trajan
Trajan was known as the “benevolent ruler”. Meaning he was well meaning and very kind. He created building projects that were for the greater good of Rome. He even created a new road system for Rome. -

Hadrian
Hadrian was best known for his renovation projects for Rome. Again, he was a very peaceful person. He also created the "Hadrian's Wall" in northern Britain. -
Period: 138 to 161
Antonius Pius
Antonius was a very compassionate man. He later in time became a part of the five good emperors. He only ever sought power for the sake of his people. He also lived a lot longer than people expected. Making him one of the oldest Roman Emperors. -

Marcus Aurelius
Marcus was the last of the "Five Good Emperors". He was very smart, and was introduced to philosophy at a very young age. He also had a very stoic view on life. -
Period: 161 to 169
Lucius Verus
Lucius was the adopted brother of Marcus. He actually co-ruled with Marcus, although he was not very favored. Lucius felt very overshadowed by his brother Marcus, so he was a little jealous. -
Period: 180 to 192
Commodus
As the five good emperors came to an end, so did the Roman peace. This century brought a lot of war and death. Commodus was VERY convinced that he was the reincarnation of the demi-god Hercules. -

Septimius Severus
Septimus was a man who LOVED power. Almost as soon as he became the emperor, he went on a killing spree. His obsession was so bad, that he became power crazy, and is mental state was not okay. -

Pertinax
Pertinax was the emperor for only three months. He was very unpopular, and power hungry. He was a huge part when it came to the downfall of Rome.
