On September 26th 1971 Rich Piana was born. He was born and grew up in Los Angeles California. -
Rich Piana first stepped into a gym
At the tender age of 6 years old Rich first stepped into Gold's gym. As a child he would watch his mother lift, who in fact was also much involved into bodybuilding. Rich was exposed to the life style of building muscle at a very age and continued that passion through the rest of his life. -
He began training
For years Rich would watch his mother compete at several bodybuilding shows. By the time he was 11 years old Rich started weight training himself. He trained using the methods he learned from watching his mother and other monsters at Gold's gym. -
He competed in his first bodybuilding show
At just 15 years old Rich competed in his first show. Although at first Rich struggled to compete with the other teen competition he continued to train as hard as he could. -
Winning Mr.California
After 3 years of competing Rich became frustrated with not winning, that's when he began to use steroids, at the age of 18. After a whole year of hardcore training and using steroids Rich entered the Mr.California contest and won by a landslide. -
He established 5% nutrition
After a short break from bodybuilding Rich came back bigger than ever and became the face of a supplement company. The company was called "Mutant Supplements". After learning about how start and promote a business Rich decided to leave Mutant Supplements and created "5% nutrition". The 5% is statistic that states that only 5% of people are doing whatever they can to achieve their goals. -
He won several different shows
In 2009, Rich's bodybuilding career sky rocketed. Within one year Rich won 3 different competitions.

Rich got Married!
In 2015, Rich married his long time girlfriend Sara. Their wedding was bodybuilding themed.

Rich gets divorced
After about a year of marriage Rich and Sara decided to get a divorce. Following the divorce there were several scandals between Rich and his ex-wife. Rich claimed that she used him to get her green card. In order to get revenge, Sara released several phone conversations between her and Rich. The conversations recorded Rich saying several racial slurs in which Rich later apologized for. -
Death
Sadly, on August 25th 2017 Rich Piana died after being in a coma for 2 weeks. His girlfriend Chanel released a video explaining how he died.

Present (reviewing Rich's life)
Unfortunetly, today Rich Piana is no longer with us but many people in the fitness community honor and remember his legacy. He was more than a bodybuilder he was a leader and a motivator. Always remember "1dayumay".
