Homer Plessy
Homer Plessy, Was a very brave man. He knew he was black, But he still stood up for him self wishing people respected him. The day he was born till he grew up, He was always determined. He knew what he was doing and he wasn't afraid to do it. He was a great man and he will alway's be remebered for his bravery. -
13th amendment
The 13th amendment declared "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction." Formally abolishing slavery in the United States. Wait so why is this still happening? There were no consequences thats why. You need consequences so people actually listen. When someone did something to another person nothing happened because no one cared. -
Abraham Lincon
The day Abraham Lincon died was a sad day, It was the same day the 13th amendment was let out.Abraham Lincon tried so hard to make everything right but there were people who felt so strong about their opinions that they wanted to actually kill him. All abraham wanted was peace not anyyhing else but peace. But sadly no one liked that and soon he was killed. Not being able to see how the world turned out. -
KKK
The kkk was a very horrible group of evil and disgusting people who felt that another person's race was inferior to thiers. This started after the move of plessy vs, Ferguson but it is still important because it still shows that segregation was still going on. Also it shows no one cared. -
14th Amendment
The 14th Amendment declared, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed.
This Amendment allows EVERYONE born in the united states were free and protected by the laws. This is good and bad,The good thing people actually noticed the plessy vs. ferguson move was astonishing we should do something about it! The bad thing is that the white people could take advantage and kick all the colored people out so their still punished. -
Grover cleveland
Grover cleveland was once again president and he jumped into a sticky situation, Plessy V Ferguson. Grover cleveland had no say in this he couldnt do anything about it because well, he didnt care! Only thing he really did was be asshamed of americans in hawaii but that didnt help because they didnt care either! He really couldnt do anything because it was the supreme courts job. -
Supreme Court
This case was maybe the most suprising cases ever. The supreme court denied plessy's justice. Sooner or later things got worse and worse and worse! This all would've been better if they just said Segregation is not aloud, we would definantly have a better relationships although people would still disagree. But it would just be a little bit better. -
Traincars
Traincars are basically the whole thing that started this. It wasnt regular traincars. They were segregated traincars. There were one for colored and one for white. This was disgusting to plessy he wanted to change this unfairness. so one day he did, he sat where he shouldnt of have sit and thats how it all started. -
Martin Luther King Jr
Martin Luther King Jr was a great man. I'm sure Marting spoke all the words that Plessy wanted to say. Martin Luther King Jr wanted a peaceful world where everyone could be treated equally and treated the same way. So did plessy he wanted everything to be fair and peaceful. These two men show bravery and great personalities. They are heros and they always will be. -
Rosa Parks
This is Rosa Parks the person everyone should know. She participated in a-lot of things, but there was always one thing that confused her. Why couldn't she sit in the back of the bus? Well Rosa didnt care about the rules she can do whatever she wants! So she sat right in front of that bus and didnt even move. To me this is someone following after another person, a good person doing good things. Its very cool how just by another persons actions it can affect you so deeply to motivate you.
