    Louis Daguerre
    He was born November 18, 1787 in France and died July 10, 1851. He was a french artist and photographer who is credited with the invention of the daguerreotype process while working alongside Joseph Niepce. He created one of a kind pictures on sheets of copper. For this reason he is also known as one of the fathers of photography.

    Matthew was born May 18th, 1822 in NY and died Jan. 15th, 1896. He was one of the earliest photographers and known for his civil war scenes. He is often called the father of photojournalism. He’s won medals at fair of all nations, and NY’s Industrial Exhibition for his daguerreotypes.

    He was born March 7, 1765 in France and died July 5, 1833. He was a french inventor credited as the inventor of photography and was a pioneer in that field . He called his first attempts of Heliography. He continued to perfect this process alongside Louis Daguerre but died before fully developing the daguerreotype.

    He was born April 9, 1830 in the UK and died May 8, 1904. He was an English-American photographer pioneering work in photographic studies of motion early work in motion-picture projection. From 1884 to 1887 he did research at the University of Pennsylvania. However, he is known for being controversial because when his wife had an affair he killed her suitor.

He won an award called The Guggenheim Fellowship for Creative Arts, US & Canada. He is known for his natural photography and landscapes.

    Dorothea was born May 26th 1895 in CA and died Oct. 11th 1965. She was a documentary photographer and photojournalist known for her Depression-era work for the Farm Security Administration. Her photographs influenced the development of documentary photography and humanized the consequences of the Great Depression. She’s most known for her photos of the unemployed and migrant workers.
