Lonnie lives with a foster family. Lonnie lives away from his little sister lili. Lonnie parents died in a car crash a few years back. Lonnie writes letters to staty in touch with his sister. -

Rising Action: Conflict
Lonnie and lili are seperated for the first time. Later, Lonnie finds a foster family. -

Lonnie sends letters to his sister Lili to stay in touch with her. This is important because they live far away. Lonnie tells Lili about his days at his new foster home and at school. -

Lonnie has trouble in school. His grades are ok and has alot of trouble making friends. -

One of Jenkins is missing. He is coming home in a month. -

Lonnie starts failing tests and getting in trouble in school. Also, Jenkins comes home and is mean to Lonnie. -

Soldiers come to talk to Jenkins about how they recover from his accindent. Also, they tell him stories from the army. -

Lonnie sends Lili sevral letters. They both start to go on walks together. -

Jekins starts recovering from his accident. Also, Jenkins lets Lonnie help him with problems in school and at home. -

Lonnie starts to enjoy living with his foster home now. But, he still misses his sister Lili -

Lonnie starts to make alot of friends. Also, his grades start to come up. Also, his teachers like having him in their class. -

Lonnie starts to think that he shouldnt become a poet when hes older, Because of one poem that he didnt like. -

Lonnie thinks that he isn't very good at math. He thinks this because of his past few tests in math. -

Jenkins is getting used to his wheel chairr and is recovering quickly. -

Lonnie enjoys school more. His grades are getting up and likes his teachers more. -

Lonnie starts to think that his letters help him stay in touch with his sister more. Also, Lonnie feels that his foster home is his real family and home -

Jenkins is openinig up to Lonnie more and telling him about his days in the army. -

Peace is growing in Lonnies life and is now happy and excited to see what new obstacles he will have to encounter through his childhood.
