Creation
In the book of Genesis God spends six days creating the earth, animals, plants, and Adam and Eve. On the seventh day, he rests after several days of work. -
3150 BCE
Fall of Adam and Eve
In the fall of Adam and Eve, Eve gets tempted by the serpent to eat from the tree of knowledge and disobey God. Eve then convinces Adam to eat from the tree and disobeys as well. When God finds out he banishes them from the garden. -
2294 BCE
The Flood
The entire population of mankind had become evil so God decided to bring a flood to rid out the wicked from the world and destroy everyone but Noah and his family. God told Noah to build an ark to hold one male and one female from every kind of animal and creature. When it started raining, Noah put his wife and his sons and their wives on the ark. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights. after coming to a rest, Noah sent out a dove to find dry land the second time and it returned signaling dry land. -
2100 BCE
Abraham
Abraham was asked by God to be the first Patriarch of the Old Testament for his great depth of faith. In Genesis, he obeys God's commands unquestionably. He is then ready to follow God's order to sacrifice Isaac as a test of faith, though in the end, God replaces Isaac with a ram. -
1900 BCE
Jacob (Israel)
Although younger, Jacob dominated Esau by deception. At one time, when Esau returned from an unsuccessful hunt and was hungry, Jacob bought Esau’s birthright, for some red pottage. When Isaac was dying, Jacob, with their mother's help, cheated Esau out of his father’s blessing. Esau would have killed Jacob, but Jacob fled. When he returned 20 years later, Esau forgave him. -
1700 BCE
Joseph/Egypt
Joseph was one of 12 sons, his father loved him the most and gave him a colorful cloak. His brothers were jealous and sold him into slavery. He was taken to Egypt and eventually made Steward to Potiphar. -
1500 BCE
Moses
When Moses was just a child his mother sent him down a river in a basket to save him from the Israelite slaves that order all male babies to be killed. Moses led the exodus of the Israelites out of Egypt by parting the Red Sea. After they settled at the top of Mount Sinai where Moses wrote down God's Ten Commandments. -
1200 BCE
Judges
In the book of Judges, all of Israel goes corrupt and turns away from God. God then sends an enemy to punish the Israelites for turning away from Him. The Israelites then call out to God and ask him for forgiveness, God then sends down a Judge to free them and conquer the enemy. -
1000 BCE
Saul and David
Saul was compelled to place young David at the head of his army. Even though David then married Saul's daughter Michal and became a close friend of Saul's son Jonathan, an intense rivalry developed between the young new general and the king. Saul even began to plot to kill him. David then found Saul sleeping but only cut off a piece of his robe to show that he was close enough to kill him but chose not to. -

Birth of Jesus
Jesus was born in Bethlehem; since there was nowhere for them to stay in the town, the infant was laid in a manger while angels announced his birth to a group of shepherds who worshipped him as Messiah and Lord.
