Bobby McMullen was born a healthy child, he played many sports growing up, and he progressively grew more and more ill over time. -
Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
Bobby was 12 and he already played sports and he was told by his doctor he needs to be more active. Being active was easy for bobby because.Like i said he already plays sports.Bobby had no real problems with diabetes untill he was 29 and turned blind. But that wasnt a challenge he continued to stay active even after he was blind. bobby had many non diabetic challenges too, like broken bones. bobby's broken bones weren't that major but they were still broken. -
Bobby went blind
Bobby was 29 and in Law school when he relized he had trouble seeing the board, so he went to a Doctor. the Doctor told him he would be completely blind in one month, and he was. Bobby was riding his bike down a trail until he could see only red. Can you imagine what happend to him. Bobby's life was never the same but he still did many activities like mountain biking and skiing. Bobby cannot just jump on his bike and ride down hills, he has help from the Guides that he hires to help him. -

Kidney Failure
Bobby went to the Doctors office and was diagnosed with Kidney Failure. Next he would have to go for Kidney dialysis. -
Dialysis routine down
Bobby made sure never to miss a day of dialysis, because minutes off of dialysis are minutes off your life. He would drop anything to keep his appointment. -
Kidney Transplant
Bobby was diagnosed with a kidney illness, and needed a transplant. It look a few months but they finally found Bobby's name on the list for kidney tranplants. -

Bobby was in the hospital when he found that he was in love with a woman, he threw up on her, and he had his second double transplant. -
Racing Events
Bobby races in about in 25 downhill,sevral cross-country, and 8- and 12-hour mountain bike events each year. he fell alot but always gets back up his saying is "If you fall down seven times get up eight '. -
3,000mi Bike Race
bobby completeda 3,000-mile race across America, riding for team donate life to raise money for research. -
Downieville,
Downieville is a 17mi bike course that is mostky downhill. He was able to finish the race, he was pretty fast. -
Euro Cup
Bobby spent the summer of 2010 in Europe where he raced the Euro Cup SuperEnduro in Sauze d’Oulx, Italy, followed by the Megavalanche race in Alpe d’Huez, France. He was a visually blind rider in the race.
