In1957 Grandpa enlisted in the united states Navy and took a 8 tour of duty, he went everywhere in the world on navy ships After his tour he came back to vinton and was in the navy reserve for 34 years until around 2000 -

Grandpas first grandchild.....ME
Grandpas first grandchild,me. Was born at St. Lukes hospital and when the nurse brought me in the room grandpa ran from across the room to the nurse and took me. My mom said "Donald what the hell are you doing". Grandopa smiled and said with a smile"I just wanted to hold him'". He was the first one to hold me. -
Grandpas first bi pass surgery

Grandpa worked at a parts stor for nearly 54 years and he wanted to finally teach me all he learned. When i was 10 years he let me help put the wiring and engine into a 1967 chevelle. He was under that hood for hours, explaining how everything worked and how to fix it. in my life he tought me more then school did -

Grandpa passed away
Grandpa passed away on christmas. His heart went out of rythem and cut the air off to his lungs and the circulation off to his brain.When we got the call we rushed over to see grandpa put in the ambulence. His funeral was 5 days later and over 2000 people came to his funeral.
