Move from Texas to Florida
Paul was on his way to Florida from Texas. Before he left his imagination of a zombie following him representing that he was of the family and that problems follow you no matter where you go. LATER THAT DAY:
Later that day the president of the Homeowners' Association came over with his son Mike that is also a football player. They were just talking about football next to the fireplace and Mike was being really braggy. -
Muck Fire
Paul woke up because he heard explosions of the lighting. When he woke up completely he walked outside and smelled the strong smoke of fire. He told his mom, but she freaked out and called 911, When the fire fighter got there he was calm and told mom that her house wasn't on fire it was just the thunder and that it was the munk fire. Everybody that moves there gets told after they call 911. -
The Football Dream

Later that day the president of the Homeowners' Association (Mr. Costello) came over with his son (Mike). Mike also played football wand was going to play football with Erik. Mike was bragging a lot about his position but Pauls mom wanted to him a lot but kept it in. Erik and his dad have a dream for football that is called Erik Fisher Football Dream. -
The NEW SCHOOL!
Today Paul went to his new school to check it out. His mom told the principal that Paul had problems with his eyes (he was legally blind), but he could see perfectly fine she just wanted to see the school because she is noisy. Paul didn't like the school but he was pleased about the soccer team so he'll let it slide. -
The NEW SOCCER TEAM?!
Today Erik, Mom, Dad, and Paul went to the high school because Erik wanted to go to the football tryouts. There was going to be a thunder storm but Erik and Dad were going to stay in the field. After Paul saw soccer players coming over so he went to gon play with them and became their goalie. They all sucked and didn't know how to kick. Paul wanted to know when were tryouts btu nobody knew, he had to listen to the students announcements on the first day of school. -
The First Day of School!!
Today was the first day of school and a lot of people weren't that excited, they were all bummed out and seemed tired. When Paul was in the bus line he remembered that all Erik's friends called him "Eclipse Boy". When Paul looked at his schedule he noticed that the it said "Vision-impaired students should report to the office for assistance" and Paul didn't appreciate it. After Paul got a volunteer named Kerri Gardner but he didn't want her to help him so he finally found his voice. -
Eriks new friend!!!
Today Paul was listening to the sound of Erik kicking the football and and thinking to himself "The Erik Fisher Football Dream is materializing . Arthur Bauer is a new friend of Erik and he has a sister which is a cheerleader and a girlfriend that is a cheerleader. -
Lightning
Today Paul and Joey were practicing and running laps when Joey told Paul about the family that got struck by lightning. Paul thinks that the house gets struck because it's the highest ground because before there was just trees and now that it is gone the lighten just strucks there -
Soccer tryouts!!
Today was soccer tryouts at Paul's school. When he went he went to tryouts the coach announced that everybody is on the team but not everybody goes to the away games. Paul really wants to go the away games and be part of the actual team. -
The Death of Erik Costello
Today Erik and his friend Arthur came up to mom and told her that Mike was dead. He told her the story that "Mike had one hand on the goalpost and then the lightning strook and took Mike flying into the sky and when he hit the ground he was already dead. After telling mom this the boys went to the backyard and Paul caught them laughing about his death!! -
Nothing?!
Today Paul went to school and he expected to hear about MIke over the loudspeaker but he heard nothing and was surprised that they didn't cancel football practice. It was like nothing happened everybody went on with their life except Joey didn't come to school. While Paul was in soccer practice he started to wonder "How is Joey doing." Paul imagened taking Joeys role. He thought " What if that was my brother" Paul didn't want Erik to die because Erik would take a part of the story. -
The Meeting!!?
Today mom started off the day by having a telephone campaign that started at 9:00am. When she was calling she got interrupted by dad. He told her that they were going to a meeting at there house and that's when she had the great idea to call the parents that were interested of putting football practice in the morning to come to the meeting. While the meeting was going on mom and the coach got into a fight but after all that they switched football practice to the morning. -
Kicked out!?!?
Today Paul got called by Coach Walski and he told him that he wasn't able to play soccer because he was in the program for handicap and they couldn't cover him with their insurance. He cried for a little but got up and waited for his mom at the bus stop. Mom sent dad to straighten things out but, he didn't want to be a water boy. Later that day he went to the open casket of mike and told joey what happened. At the end Joey asked if he wanted to go to the carnival. -
The Carnival!!!
Today was sunday the day of the funeral and the day of the carnival. Mom and Dad started off the day by fighting about football. They went to the carnival 2:45 and came back 7:00 but Paul didn't have that much fun because he wanted to hang out with Kerri but she didn't pay attention to him as much as he thought. At the end of the day he started to think that they should start a new exhibit starring him " The Eclipse Boy" -
A Sinkhole??!
Today Paul was called to come to the office and with some other boys. Mrs.Gates got a phone call from the Sheriff's Department saying that some boys from the soccer team vandalized the exhibits. Paul knew who it was so he stood up and told them. After walking out Paul heard a whoosh sound. It started getting louder, Paul thought it was an earthquake but was a sinkhole. They saw that classrooms were coming down and they started to help. They had a meeting and they started school on Monday. -
Now What!?!?
Paul got a letter saying he had to attend a school meeting for a relocation plan. Paul was thinking that there was 25 portables destroyed and there were 25 kids in every portable and each kid has 7 periods. Thats 625 kids and 175 class periods to relocate. Paul was completely shocked that the sixth graders go back to school on Thursday. All the buildings where served safe from Old Charley Burns. Old Charley was in Daytona. Everything within a hundred-yard from the sinkhole is not safe. -
Old Charley Who??
Today Mr.Fisher is the new Director of Civil Engineering for Tangerine Country. Old Charley is now roadkill because after the interview report they found out that instead of inspecting new development plans he has been living the high life. Now it was the end of the Old Charley era, but the beginning of the Dad era. -
New School?!
Today mom started talking about new schools but he didn't want to go to a catholic church. Mom kept arguing about the school but Paul kept making reasons to say no. After talking about school they went to the meeting that they had to attend. They found out that they were going back to school starting MONDAY!! At the end of the day Paul argued with mom that he wanted to go to Tangerine Middle School. At first they said no but at last the heavens opened up for Paul and his parents let him go. -
The First Day School!! PART 2
Today was the second to first day of school for Paul. When he walked into the office Dr. Johnson (principal) started to him and introduced him to Theresa. She was going to be taking him around the school until he gets the hang of it. Paul asked her about soccer which she knew a lot of. At the end of the day she took him to the soccer field and introduced hi to the coach. After practice he saw mom walking out of the office. He was worried about the IEP but mom said it disappeared. Paul was glad. -
This No Lake windsor Middle!
While Paul was in lunch the soccer players cae up to him and Theresa and started telling Paul a lot of mean things but Paul responded to all that. Paul told the " what do you expect? We play in a sinkhole" but they reacted by laughing. during practice Paul got called in to be the goalie. Victor kicked a goal right to Paul but he catches it but then out of nowhere Victor kicked it out of Paul's hands. At the end Maya commented Paul and then went into a car. Mom picked him up and was impressed. -
New Uniforms!!
Today Paul and Joey got their soccer uniforms. When Joey came over after supper. Right when Joey and Paul were turning around the table they saw Erik and Arthur come in through the gate. They started making fun of Joey calling him "Mohawk Man's brother." Joey didn't know what they were talking about so Paul explained. Joey took it very personal. Paul told him "why don't you just come to Tangerine with me?"Joey sail "ill think about it" and jumped over the wall so he wouldn't see Erik and Arthur. -
First Soccer Game!!
Today was the first soccer game and it was verses Palmetto Middle School. While the game was going on the Palmetto team tripped, pulled jerseys, and got in front of Paul's team. The coach put Paul in the game. Paul had a chance to hit the ball but missed and the second time a Palmetto kid stole and hit Paul. Paul ended up punching him. LATER THAT DAY: Joey called Paul and told him thaqt he was going to Tangerine Middle. He explained that his dad went to the office and switched him schools. -
The Big Embarrassment!!
Today was the first game for the Seagulls football team. They played verses the Cypress Bay High Cardinals. There wasn't much place to sit so a group of people started going over where the sinkhole was, Mr.Bridges tried to stop them but they weren't listening until the police came. The game wasn't intense but on the final period the Cypress Bay got there game on and scored. When it was Eriks turn to kick, Antoine was the holder. Erik didn't kick he got tricked by Antoine. By the end they won! -
I Scored!?!
Today Paul had a soccer game vs Kinnow Middle School.Pauls team weren't scoring any goals. At halftime they noticed that Victor had a cut on his end and couldn't play in the game so Paul took his place. Paul had a chance to make a goal, he didn't think he just kicked hard and scored. He couldn't believe his eyes. At the end of the day Victor came back with stitches. LATER THAT DAY: Later Grandmom called and later mom took the phone to Paul because Cara called him to talk about Kerri. -
Bullys!!!
Today Joey and Paul had soccer practice. The coach didn't let Victor play today because of his stitches so Paul practiced for him today. After practice Joey and Paul were going to the car when Victor got behind them and started telling Paul who was the kid next to him, what's his name, why does he follow you all the time, ect. Victor then started being really rude to Joey and Joey finally spoke up and got into the car. Joey asked if he did the same thing, he said yes but that wasn't all... -
PhotoGraphers!!
Today Paul had soccer practice but Jory didn't come today. While they were warming up two cars pulled up and one of them said "Tangerine Times" and right away he knew that his mom called them about the girls on his team. When they came out of the car they asked for Maya and Shandra but, when Shandra heard about she ran inside of the school and came back outside when they were gone. They took pictures of the two girls and also asked for their last names. They left but Paul noticed something else. -
Quitting for Good...
Today Paul and Joey were in science and their teacher told them to make a group. Tino and Theresa started a group and invited Henry D, but then Paul asked to join. Tino let the join but made it clear that it was HIS group! Paul agreed to that but Joey dint and started arguing with Paul to make their own group but, Paul started telling hi how nice they are. After the argument Joey told Paul that he quit soccer for good and will playing football for now and on. After Paul said "am sorry" and left. -
The Fight In Class!
Today Paul remembered something that he wanted to block out but couldn't after what happened yesterday. He remembered that on the first day of Joey coming to Tangerine Middle that he said "Theresa was a dog" and then told Joey that he was coming the school with the wrong attitude. They also had there first group meeting. They were doing it Luis (Older brother). At the end Tino drew the line on Joey and Joey said trash and Tino jumped to him. They both got in trouble and Joey switched groups. -
The Homeowners Association Meeting..
Today Paul was doing his research for the group project about "Luis". When his mom told him to go to his room because they homeowners association was coming over to talk. They were going to talk about the robberies and the termite problem. -
He Remembered!!
Today Paul and Henry D. went to Tinos and Theresas house so Luis can show them the tangerines and answer questions. Tino lived in a "Quonset hut." At the end of the Quonset hut was a big field that had baby trees and adult trees that Luis and his family have grown. Luis gave them a tour and after he answer questions. When Paul got home he had a memory, when his dad was checking his eyes by making a fake clock and seeing if he could see 12, 11, or 10 but he couldn't. Now he can see everything... -
What About Me?!
Today Paul was thinking about how many hours have been going and he hasn't even noticed. Everyone in his family have been busy that they don't even have dinner together anymore. Erik is not the local joke of football anymore he is now known as the local hero now because has kicked from 20-45 yards and has won football games but they are forgetting about the other athlete. -
Don't Pick, You Cut.
Today Paul went to Tino's house and when he got there they were pulling hoses. Luis told him to join and help. They took them three hours to put the hoses in every row and then they took a break. After there break they had to cut a little hole in the hose and then Luis noticed that Paul didnt look that good so they took him inside. Tino sprayed something on him and then Paul told him that he ratted The soccer players out. Tino kicked him but after he had a big smile on his face. Paul was happy. -
The Hurdler...
Today Mr.Donnelly called Dad and invited the whole family over to meet two new football players. Now that Erik is as famous as Antoine Thomas everybody is hearing about him. Mom and Dad decided to walk over to Mr.Donnelly house. When Paul got there they were already discussing about Erik but then they asked Paul "Are you a kicker?" he answered "yes" and then he told him where he plays and his coach. Mr.Donnelly got interested and told him the story of Paul's coach. -
No Game?!
Today Paul had a game vs Manatee Middle. They started the game but in the middle of the game it started to rain but the other team wasn't aloud to play in this kind of weather so they had to go to the bus and Pauls tea went inside the school for safety. After twenty minutes of rain the other team left and none of their points counted and the game would be marked as "no game." Victor was super angry. They had another game next week vs Lake Windsor Middle School, but will they win. -
Public!!??
Today Paul was thinking that he made a good impression on Mr.Donnelly because the next day the soccer team was on the newspaper. Which was staring Betty Bright and telling her story all over again about being punched. Paul was thinking "Would Betty Bright mind the hurtful comments, the publicity, and did she feel the same way like Shandra Thomas." -
The BIG GAME!!
Today’s Paul had his last soccer game today vs Lake Windsor Middle School. Before the game even started Victor couldn’t play because he started punching the other teams opponent. Paul had to go in for Victor but then Shandra threw up so Caesar had to go in for Victor and Paul took Shandras spot. -
Talking Trash, BAD IDEA!!
Today Paula science group came over to his house. Paul was showing the group all the fonts and things about the computer when, he suggested to kick the ball around for little before the mosquitoe spray comes. Then Erik comes through the gate with Arthur and starts making fun of Victor. Victor came back making fun of him too. Erik punched him and then everybody left. Paul tried to rerise what happened but he couldn’t. -
BlackJack to the HEAD!!
Today Mom had a meeting with Eriks council about his grades. So Paul had to sit and watch football practice but instead of sitting the bleachers he sat under them. At the end of practice he noticed Luis’s trunk and came walking toward a group of guys then, he spoke and asked who’s isn’t Erik. Luis started confronting Erik about hitting a kid. Finally Erik had enough, signaled Arthur, and Arthur swung the blackjack and nocked Luis to the floor. -
The ThanksGiving Freeze!!
Today when mom dropped of Paul there was no kids standing outside or people fight, everyone was just running into the building without their heads down. A bunch of kids were missing today because they had to fight off the Freeze and protect their crops. Henry was explaining why kids didnt come to school when Paul told him if his brother can dive him over there. He wanted to help Luis and Victor but he wasn’t much of a help because he ended sleeping for he rest of the time because he was to cold. -
Confronted?!
Today’s was Eriks last game, but Paul missed it because he slept for 18 hours. When Paul went down stairs he ate and got the newspaper. He started reading about the game and that Erik missed 5 extra points when dad heard that he started falling apart and freaking out. Paul also noticed that his soccer team was the newspaper and wanted to cut it out. His dad asked “are you on it?” Then Paul started him questions about him playing he couldn’t answer but he could for Erik. -
The Friendly Meeting...
Today was the day that Erik and Arthur were going to face Luis. Paul was wondering if Erik would walk in with his eyes swollen and black or with his nose broken, but when he walked in he looked fine so something obviously went wrong. After Kerri called and asked Pual is he wanted to be her date after the Ceremony. A little later mom had her homeowners meeting. They are still wondering where the fish are, then Paul said "The Osprey." -
Luis Cruz's Death!!
Today when Paul went to school he found out that Luis Cruz was dead. When Paul got to school there was a group of people and Henry D. whispered: "did you hear what happened?" Paul didnt know and thats when Henry D. told him that he was found on the floor dead. The sheriffs think that is was a aneurysm: -

Today Theresa called Paul and told him to not come to the funeral because all the boys were talking bad things. After she hung up Paul thought to himself and said "They know the truth." After that phone call he thought about; how did they found out, did Luis tell anybody else? Paul had to think so he went to the pond when this little kid came up to him and told that there was a gator in there. Paul didn't believe him and started telling much more fake story's. The boy got scared and rode away. -
Hes apart of me now!!
Today at exactly 12 o-clock, Paul on his suit that he wore to Mikes funereal went outside and starting digging up dirt. He started thinking about Luis being lower into the dirt but never getting back up again. Paul started sobbing and after he got up and felt strange like Luis is a part of him. He felt like a different person. -
The Whole Story...
Today Joey called Paul to see if he was ok. Joey was wondering why Pual didnt g to his house, so Paul started all in the beginning. Today was the day when they were going to plant a tree in memory of Mike Costello. During the ceremony they called out the football players because they lost a great boy that day. When they called out Erik, Tino and Victor went up to him and starting punching him and Auther. Then Paul jumped the coach and the boys ran. Erik stood infront of Paul and threanted him. -

Today Joey called Paul again but this time to alert him that Betty was at Mr.Donnellys house. So Paul got his bike and rode ober there to check it out. When he pulled up he saw a familiar face and it was Shandra sitting in the Yellow Mustang. Paul didnt know why Antoine and Betty were doinf there but he intended to find out.
