    Later in 1880 he thought of pins 12 inches in height, 2 inches wide, using a four inch ball. The game soon became very popular. As well with this new sport he hired Pinboys who would reset the pins in their same position. Later on John J. "Jack" took this idea and promoted Candlepins.

    Candlepin Bowling was made by a local bowling alley owner who's name is Justin White. This sport was made in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1880. This sport goes back to almost 7000 years! Ancient Egyptians would bury the departs most prized possessions with he deceased, which gave evidence that small ball bowling was used from 5200 B.C. Know this sport was originally made because White found 10in. broomsticks and 3in. balls in the storage of his new alley. He put them out as a game, and it failed.

    Although the name contains the word "salt" it is not in the candy, but some brands such as Fralinger's will add salt. Each batch process, they would put the taffy on hooks for employees to pull. In many stores this was done for customers to watch. Now this is mostly done by machine. There are many stories on how this taffy was invented, but the most true story is that the term was used by a David Bradley and his business partner John Cassady.

Dr.J had a gift for medical chemistry, he was a pharmacist, and a businessman. He had several laboratories, which still exist 125 years later! In 1870 he had moved to Atlanta from Rome, where at age 19 he practiced Thomsonian or botanic principles.

    In 1885 a reporter from the Atlanta Journal had approached the inventor of French Wine Coca and had asked of the new drink. Pemberton replied, it was made from Kola nut. Since the city of Atlanta didn't allow the sale of wine, he made a new version of his drink. He substituted sugar syrup for wine and gave it the name Coca Cola. Then he put his son Charles in charge of company. Gave up pharmacist job to prusue selling beverages. In March 1888 the first Coca Cola company was produced.

    They had said that their board walk candy store got soaked by ocean water one night, and since then joked to his costumers he had "salt water taffy." His sister testified saying this had haooened. The term of thus candy had seemed to be carried out by a man who's name is Joseph Fralinger's (1847-1937). By 1883 Bradley was advertising taffy, and he made many new flavors.
