    There was major anti-Semitism, violence, and destruction of property. He described to me many memories of when he was in fights where people threw rocks at him and slashed knives. A specific story was that when he went to Hebrew school, he would get out at 5:00 and run up the hill home, and the only way he could escape getting beat up, because he was Jewish, was to jump 10 feet out of a window into big bushes.

    In 1997, they bought their second Cape house by the beach in Osterville. Today, we still go to this same house my dad grew up going to. The house is so special to me because I get to spend time with my family in a place that I love. I included a picture of my dad, sister, and I at our favorite beach since, without my grandfather, I would not have grown up making so many amazing memories in such a magical place.
