Temujin was born on May 31, 1162 in Deluun, Boldog. His father, Yesugei, was a chief to a small nomadic tribe in present day Mongolia. His mother was taken by his father as a prisoner of war. She was the chief's daughter of a neighboring tribe. This is significant because the savior and uniter of Mongolia
has been born.

Temujin killed his half brother in 1172 while hunting. His brother tried to claim Temujin's rewards for himself. Temujin killed him because it was a great honour to bring in food for the whole tribe to eat. This is significant because Temujin gained respect from his tribe. In the year 1206, Temujin was named Genghis Khan of the Mongol Empire. When someone is named Genghis Khan, they become the king or ruler of the force. Genghis Khan is translated into "Oceanic Ruler". That will only scrape the surface of whart he will become. Temujin begins by building one of the best amries in history. This army will torture Asia and parts of Africa in years to come.

Temujin officialy unifies Mongolia in 1207. Although he didn't go tribe to tribe asking for unification, he still made it happen. He unified them by conquering all of the tribes and then making them his leader. This is significant because now the Mongolian empire was formed and this empire wouls storm across Asia and conquer many lands.

Temujin creates the "Yassa"

Temujin created the "Yassa" in 1208. The "Yassa" is a rulebook of 22 rules for Temujin's army to follow. It teaches obedience to Temujin, a binding together of the nomad clans, and the merciless punishment of wrongdoing. This is significant because it gave the army discipline. No soldiers would abandon Temujin in a time of starvation because he was thought to be passed down from the gods. If they disobeyed his rules, they would be spiritually punished.

Begins his first foreign war.

Temujin began his first foreign war in 1209. He began a war against the Xia Xia in China to expand his territory. Temujin's army was organized and efficient and crushed the Xia Xia army. Thgis event is significant becuse by acquireing land, he could expand the empire. This then strenghtened the empire and giving it a post and supplies.

Teujin defeated the Khwarizmian Dynasty in 1215. He surrounded the cities and blocked off it's trade. Everyone in the cities starved. This is significant because by defeating the Khwarizmian Dynasty, Temujin had violated China's peace treaty. This would eveolve into a problem between the Mongol empire and China.

Temujin orders the destruction of Xia Xia

Temujin orders the destruction of the Xia Xia in 1226. On his death bed Temujin wanted to see his enemies suffer. He ordered his troops to delete any trace of Xia Xia in Asia. They followed his orders and destroyed whole villages and towns. This is significant because the once powerful Xi Xia are now destroyed. This raises the Mongolian empire's status to the number one empire in Asia.

Temujin starts the Pax Mongolica in 1227. This movement towards a modern and powerful Mongolia occurred at the end of Temujin's reign. It strived for stabilizing Mongolia as a whole. This is significant because by starting this movement, Temujin woild put Mongolia on the right path. This also opened up trade routes in the newly conquered lands such as Georgia.

Death

Aug 25, 1227

Temujin died on August 25, 1262. During battle, he fell from his horse and was trampled to death. As tradition calls for, he was buried in his birth place, Deluun, Boldog. This si significant because after his death, the empire begins to crumble.
