    Paul taught at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1931 to 1933, but was fired because he had Jewish symbols in his paintings and rumors that said Paul is Jewish.

    Paul's Death
    Paul suffered lots of pain from the disease scleroderma, until he died. Pain was also shown in some of his last paintings. One of his last painting, "Death and Fire" has the word "Tod" in it, meaning death in German.
