Before applying for the white school Meredith went to college at a all black college, after all his years of all black school he thought he wanted something different. -

After college once he applied for a white college called Ole Miss where only whites attended. He got denied several times before because of his race. He took it to court and by the end of this all he was the first African american to attend a all white school! -
After high school
After his high school years he joined the military. After that he had his eyes set on education again. -
James Meredith's death
On this day of a civil rights march James Meredith was assassinated. People didn't like him coming into there all white school and engorging other "colored people" to also do it. This was a horrible day and Meredith contributed so much to the civil rights movement and allowed what it's like today to be this way.
