Judge Pyncheon is cousins to Hepzibah and Clifford. When he shows up he hears Clifford and demands to see him, but Hepzibah refuses to let him in. -

Clifford Attempts Suicide
After Clifford arrives back, he falls into a depression and when Phoebe tries to show him things outside he tries to jump out of the window. But Hepzibah and Phoebe pull him back in. -

Holgrave tells Phoebe about the story of Alice Pyncheon and how she was manipulated by Matthew Maule's grandson. -

Judge Tries to Confront Clifford
When Judge hears that Clifford knows about a certain treasure, he tries to get Clifford to tell him where it is and threatens to put him in an insane asylum. But Clifford knew of no treasure. -

It was Judge's time to die, he died of natural causes. But when Clifford and Hepzibah finds out, they are afraid that they'll be blamed, so they flea the house -

Phoebe Comes Back
When Phoebe comes back, she meets with Holgrave and they confess their love for each other. Then Holgrave tells Phoebe about Judge Pyncheon. -

Hepzibah and Clifford Come Back
After Hepzibah and Clifford realize that the murder won't be pinned on them and Phoebe is back, they come back home. -

Happy Ending
They all live in one of Judge's houses, and they never think about The House of Seven Gables again. Later, they found out that the curse that was put on their family wasn't actually a curse. It was just a thing that ran in the Pyncheon line.
