He is accredited to multiple different types of Philosophies. With Martin Davis he developed the Davis-Putnam algorithm for the Boolean satisfiability problem which is the problem of determining if there exists an interpretation that satisfies a given Boolean formula. He also said that it is not necessarily true that pain is identical to C-fibre firing. In his papers he states that pain could correspond to different physical states of the nervous system. -
