Crushed Dreams
Gordon initially dreamed of becoming a professional football player. By the age of 15, he grew skilled enough to become a member of the Glasgow Rangers; a pro club. Career Change

Gaining Experience
In order to gain experience, he began to work in small restaurants in London shortly after earning his degree. First TV Appearance

At the age of 35, Gordon took his expertise and put it into his very own restaurant; Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. It officially opened in 1998 and quickly received what he called 'the most prestigious accolade in the culinary world' – three Michelin stars. While filming a segment for one of his shows in Iceland, he slipped and fell down an 85-meter (280 foot) cliff into the sea.
