Most likely the hardest piont of bieng a soldier is saying goodbye to your family. Every soldier has to go threw it and many show that there more human then they tought after all.

During basic training the drill sergents were in the process of breaking down the soldiers. One of the soldiers stepped out of line durin a drill and the drill sergent punished him. The training soldier had to do something called "cannon cockers".

Ryan was set on his first mission to make a bridge. This bridge was important in the mission because itn would maketravel for his infantry sooner.

On December 22, 2004, Ryan and his team are sent to Iraq to follow a infantry throught the deserts. he will be the driver of a 20 ton military- armored bulldozer.

Ryan has used the last few days of his leave. And now he leaves his fiance and the rest of his family to go and fight the war again.

In the middle of January when Ryan recieve's a treat. he gets a care package from a boy in Kanssas. Its filled with candy, pictures,letters, ans toothpaste. Ryan almost starts crying just reading the letter.

Ryans finally over and done with being in the war. He says goodby to his platoon and leaves the camp with a bittersweet feeling. Because he knows thay he still has friends who are in the way of trouble, but at the same time he's going home.

Before ryan left for basic training, He tried to convince his wife to get a dog which failed. So while he was walking through an Iraqi town a stray dog layed right next to him. It reminded him of home.
