Early Life

When he was 9 his father took him to live with his the family of his future bride , Borte. Temujins Father was killed by men who had poisoned him on his way back home

Took fathers position as clan chief when he was qabout 11 years old. Men in the clan refused the young boys leadership, and then ostricised his family of younger brothers and half-brothers to near fefugee status. Temujin quarreled with and kiled his half brother, Bekhter, making his position as head of the family

when he was about 20 he was captured in a raid by former family allies. temporarily enslaved, He escaped with the help of a sympathetic captor, and soon joined up with clans men and his brothers.
