    1. His parents were of different religious beliefs.
    2. He was raised a Protestant, but tried to convert France to Catholicism
    3. Became the heir of France after his marrige to Margaret of Valois.
    4. Defeated the armys of Henry III and Catholic Henry, Duke of Guise.
    Grade C because Henry IV didn't do much for the French Moncarchs other that being the first Bourbon and defeating Henry and Henry.
  • Louis XIII

    Birth 27 September 1601
    Death 14 May 1643
    1. Under his reign, France became a leading European power.
    2. His father was known to have numerous affairs with women.
    3. Tried to fix some of the religious differnces through the Edict of Nantes.
    4.He was assassinated.
    Grade B because most of the people liked him because he was open to religious freedom.

    1. He revoked the Edict of Nantes.
    2. Was known for his aggressive foreign policy.
    3. He led a war between France and the Grand Alliance.
    4. Crowned King when he was five years of age.
    Grade B+ because he was able to reorganize France's system of taxation.

    1. He was crowned king when he was five years of age.
    2. He contributed to the decline of royal authority.
    3. No one expected that he would ever reach the throne.
    4. Known as Louis, The Well-Beloved.
    Grade B because he was greatly loved by his people.

    1. He was the last king of France in the line of Bourbon Monarchs.
    2. Executed for treason.
    3. He faced enourmous debt.
    4. He had focused on religious uniformity and foreign policy.
    Grade D because he committed treason.

    Death 8 June 1795
    1. Was King from the time he was eight until he deid when he was ten.
    2. He was the French heir, but was never crowned.
    3. He was forced to flee Versailles.
    4. He had been abused by his mother and sister.
    Grade C because he was only a young child when he had to endure so many hardships.
