1. Won the War of 3 Henrys to gain his control/reign over France.
2. Signed Edict of Nantes to reduce the tensions between Huguenots and other religions.
3. He revived the economy by bringing improving agriculture through the introduction of silk, roads, and canals.
4. Relieved social tensions by reducing tax burdens on the peasants.
I would rate Henry IV an A because evrything he did either helped the people or made more people start to follow him. -
Louis XIII

Death
1. Managed to score a great victory against the Huguenots in 1628 at La Rochelle.
2. Louis took full control and sent his mother into exile in Blois in 1617 after she helped with throne.
3. Declared war on Spain in 1635, although had many victories over them.
4. His wife and him had a very hard relationship in which they didn't like each other.
I would rate Louis XIII a B because he had very strong policies on his people, his own mother, and his wife. -

1. In 1661 he began to reform France.
2. He revoked the Edict of Nantes and is known for his aggressive foreign policy.
3. From 1672-1678 he engaged France in the Franco-Dutch War.
4. By the 1680's he generated public hostility.
I would rate Louis XIV a C because all he did was start or join wars and not try to help his people until close to his death. -

Death
1. He was abhored by many due to his stubborn personality and detrimental political actions, including damaging France's foreign relations and continuously overspending.
2. Tensions between France and Britain caused Louis to side with Austria, his former enemy, in the Seven Year War in 1756.
3. Louis XV died a hated man on May 10, 1774.
I would rate Louis XV an F because he didnt do anything for his people. All he cared about was himself and the attention he got -
Louis XVI

Death
1. Louis XVI was immature and lacked self-confidence.
2. He faced enormous debt and rising resentment towards a despotic monarchy.
3. Even with debt growing Louis continued to take out international loans and not raising the taxes.
4. In November of 1792 Louis was found guilty of treason and was sentenced to death.
I would rate Louis XVI an F because he continued to make the government of France worse by loans and not doing anything to help the people. -
Louis XVII

1. No one was certain of what happened to him, many believe he died in prison by tuberculosis, while others say he escaped prison and he wasnt heard from again.
I would grade Louis XVII an F because he didnt do anything for the country plus he was only10.
