Henry IV
He was raised a protestant and joined the military at age 14.He endured many assassination attempts and died a mysterioous death. He was stabbed to death on May 14, 1610 by a Catholic fanatic. He went through the war of Three Henrys. -
Louis XIII
Took the throne at age 9 when his father Henry IV was assassinated. Known as a powerful and courages military leader. He had many substinantial victories by 1642. He was considered as the best European leader. -
Lois XIV
Often refered to as the "Sun God." Began his rule of France in 1661. Continued to emphasise the importants of a centralized state. -
Louis XV
Took the throne at age 5. This happened when his grandfather died. But when he was assigned as king he was to young to rule. HE had to have an advisor make all discisions for him until he was old enough to rule. -
Louis XVI
Executed for treson by a guillotine. He was captured when he tried to flee his position in the monarchy, so they chopped his head off. He was nicknamed "Citizen Capet." He is the only king to be executed. -
Louis XVII
Only served as king for two years until his death in 1795. He was 8 years old when he took the throne and died at the age of 10.
