    When Victor enters his more teenage years, he begins to take an interest in the studies of the Natural World and Philosophy. By this he then reads the studies of Cornelius Agrippa and is fascinated by his works. (Pg 38)

    Victor sees lightning strike a tree outside. He saw this as a powerful act of nature. This event caused him to take more of an interest towards the sciences. (Pg 40)

    Victor was told by his parents that he should go to college. With doing so, he was able to learn even more and was very passionate about doing so. (Pg 43)

    While attending university, Victor's professor tells him how studying natural philosophy was a waste of time. He then told Victor the importance of science, and persuaded him to do so. (Pg 47)

    For his creation, Frankenstein begins to collect organs from corpses. He dug the holes up himself and displayed how obsessed he was with finishing his experiment. (Pg 51)

    The Creation comes to Life

    Victor finally finished his creation after spending nearly two years on it. Frankenstein was then frightened by what he has made instead of praising all the work that went into his experiment. (Pg 56)

    After creating his monster, Frankenstein ran away from it and went to sleep. While asleep, he dreamt of Elizabeth that transformed into the dead corpse of his mother. Once he woke up, he found his creation in his room with him. (Pg 57)

    In the first few chapters, we automatically can see that Victor is very ambitious and has a passion for learning new information. His character also will care about the opinions of others, and he wishes to not disappoint anyone.

    Character Development

    In these chapters (6-14), we notice that Victor begins to avoid the truth. He also becomes more selfish by worrying about his reputation and does not care for the state of which his monster may be in.

    The monster found books in an abandoned bag that contained the books Paradise Lost and Sorrows of Werter. The creation considered both of these books as histories and thought they helped him exercise his mind. (Pg 122)

    Monster kills William

    In reaction to his rejection from Felix, the monster wants revenge on Victor for creating him, leaving him, and making him more "hideous". Once he saw William and realized that he was related to Frankenstein, he strangled him. (pg 136)

    Monster wants companion

    The monster requests Victor to make a second creation, this time a female to keep him company. The monster says if he agrees to make it, the creation and companion will go away and never return. (pg 139)

    Victor puts off the second creation

    As he is building the second creation, Frankenstein thinks more and more about what this may cause. He then stops when thinking about how he can create a new hideous race from doing this. (Pg143)

    Victor and Henry travel

    Spontaneously, Victor and Henry decide to go on a quick journey. By doing this, however, Frankenstein finds himself wishing to finish the second creation. (Pg 151)

    Victor is accused of murder

    After going out in the water, Victor dumps his progress of the second monster into the water and sails back towards land. Once he gets back, he ends up in a new town where the locals accuse him of murder. (Pg 165

    In this set of chapters (15-20), Victor finally begins to become more cognizant of his actions after reuniting with his creation and hearing his story. Victor now thinks more on his decisions rather than allowing his ambition to get the best of him.

    After finishing his story on his monster and his ambition, Victor says his last words before he passes. He tells Walton that if he does something, to not try and have ambition get the most of you, and come back honorable still following your morals. (Pg 204)

    Character Development

    In this round of chapters (21-24), Frankenstein has ultimately learned from his mistakes. When he is told to make a companion for his first creation, he then thinks of what could go wrong to avoid the issues that came up from his original monster. Victor also warns Walton not to let his ambition override him and his actions.
