    Born on January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York. His parents were Sara Roosevelt and James Roosevelt l. He was from Dutch decent.

    In 1890 he first received from a Jeanne Sandoz, French-speaking Swiss woman. He then recieved education from a man named Arthur Dumper in 1893 to 1896. He later went to Groton School in Groton Massachuestts there he impressed his teachers.

    In 1900 he went Harvard College, he didn't receive guidence like in his other school. He got C's and one B but was able to raise his grade In three years he was able to raise them to A's and B's.
