    In 1988, he went down to Winstone Salem NC. to set up the AWH Holding Company headquarters. He bought $30,000 worth of computers and assembled them himself. When he bought the computers he used his air-miles card to do it, so he accidentally ended up with a ton of miles. At this time, he was spending 3 days in Winstone Salem and 4 days in Waynesboro a week.

    In 1993, his father, owner of Hopeman Brothers Inc. fires the president of AWH because of fraud. He then hires Jim Bido to be the president, however he was woefully incompetent. Shortly there after, Bido makes a few contracts that become impossible to do under current conditions. Hank attended 3 days of meetings trying to solve this issue.

    Wayne Manufacturing had moved to Lofton. After a night of prayer, Hank offered to run Wayne Manufacturing in an attempt to fix the crisis. Due to the expenses that he used the company neared bankruptcy.

    At the end of 1993, the Head of Human Resources and the General Finance Officer of Hopeman Brothers Inc. convinced Hank to offer to run AWH Holding Company. January 1st, 1994 he became the President of AWH. AWH owned two different types of manufacturing companies, the marine industry, including Wayne Manufacturing Corp, and Hopeman Engineering, and land based industry, including Royston.

    Throughout his life, The growth plate in his foot slowly grew and in 1994, it was pushing against his achilles causing excruciating pain. It came to a head a week before meeting a high level 7/11 executive preventing him from walking and doing many of the things scheduled with the executive. The next week Hank laid off the President of Royston who worked closely with the 7/11 executive, who he called personally to inform him.

    In 1995, Hank looked for ways for Royston to branch out, one of which was for a time building modular convenience stores for Exxon.
  • Father's Death

    In 1998, Hank's father died. This also meant that Hank was now the owner of Hopeman Brothers Inc.

    In 1998, Hank created a new holding company, Cinnabar Solutions. This was in order to split the marine industry from Royston because they operated differently.
