Trust Vs. Mistrust
Little Timmy is an infant in a foster home. His foster family does not interact much with him but only provides food and shelter for him. Whenever he cries his foster parents usually ignore him and don't immediately tend to his needs, and never show him affection. This will affect Timmy throughout the next psychosocial stages of his life and make him mistrust others and feel rejected and insecure growing up. -
Industry Vs. Inferiority
LittleTimmy is in second grade and is struggling in school. He doesn't have support at home and gets teased by his classmates. He compares himself to his peers and realizes he doesn't have as nice clothes or the best grades. This negatively affects his self worth and makes him feel inferior to his peers. -
Intimacy Vs. Isolation
Little Timmy is all grown up in his mid 20's. He struggles to maintain stable relationships due to the fact that he picks partners that emotionally abuse him and friends who take advantage of him. Growing up he was never loved or nurtured properly, leaving him with low self-esteem and low expectations of others. He tries to find companionship with people who only bring him down because that's all he's ever known. He needs to love himself first.
