The left-handed one was the evil one, and the right-handed one was the good twin. They were always competing, and somehow in their competitions, they created the world and lived in "harmony" by always creating the opposite thing that the other had created. -

This was a speech given by Patrick Henry. He is speaking to all of the people at the Virginia Convention. He was telling them his perspective on the war against the British. He wants the people to rebel. He wants to fight the British. -
The Crisis: Thomas Paine
This was written by T-Paine. He wrote it for George Washington and his troops. He wanted to boost morale and get the Americans fired up about the war. He wrote this the day before the troops marched into Philadelphia. George Washington ordered them to read this before they attacked the British. -

A man, named Olaudah Equiano, was captured by the whites as a slave. He writes about his strife on the ship that is sailing to America. He talks about people being beat and people dying, by either jumping of and drowning, or starving. He asks his people questions about the ship and the white men. He talks about the hardships and the stench. -

This was a story where Edgar went to his friends house. It was really creepy and eerie. He spends several nights at this guy's house. There was a vampire lady that roamed around. He is really creeped out. I fell asleep and started snoring.. lol -

There was a guy sitting thinking about his dead wife. He hears a tapping. Then the raven comes into his room. He stares at it, like he knows his wife is represented through the wife. Then he sees his wife. Then he collapses. -

This poem is about a snowstorm. There are animals in a shelter and they are content. The faily inside is happy and content. They love life. They admire nature. This is a romanticism poem. -
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
This play was about the Salem Witch Trials. A group of girls were found dancing in the woods. They are accused of witchcraft there are two girls that are "sick" and don't wake up. The other girls must say they are witches in order to save their lives. Then, more and more people are being accused. There are trials held for many people. People are hanged, some live, and some are put in jail.
