6. What I understood from the passage that I chose is that George wanted Lennie to think of stuff that makes him happy and excited. While he was talking Lennie, George was also building himself up to take Lennies life. He was comforting him, letting him know that he was never mad at him. He wanted to end Lennies life, because Lennie would have died anyway.
