Henning Brandt
in 1669 Henning was working on the study of extracting gold from urine. Instead he found the element "Phosphorus" -
Robert Boyle
Robert tested sulfur and phosphorus which when combined created a flame on demand, which opened the door for matches. -
Joseph Priestley
Joseph Priestley was a Natural Philosopher who found a total of 9 new gasses. He did not shy away from tinkering with all sorts of experiments. For example he liked pouring acid on everything to create a reaction. -
Henry Cavendish
Cavendish was a vey shy Natural Philosopher who mixed or added zinc and acid together to create "Hydrogen". -
Joseph Black
Joseph black was trying to discover a cure for kidney stones, and instead found the gass "carbon dioxide" -
Henry Cavendish
Found the element "Hydrogen" -
Joseph Priestley
Joseph moved next to a brewing company, and took an interest in "carbon dioxide" he was able to combine carbon dioxide and water and invented "Carbonated water". -
Antoine Lavoisier
Lavoisier studied phlogiston and the effects of the burning of materials. He understood that mass should not change mass should stay the same. but he soon found that when metal create a claux they gain weight. so he figured that something must be absorbed in order to gain more mass. -
Daniel Rutherford
Found the element "Nitrogen". -
Joseph Priestley
Joseph decided to publish a how to in creating "sparkling water" in the hopes of curing Survey. -
Lavoisier & Priestley meet
Lavoisier and Priestley meet during a dinner and this is where Priestley tells everyone about his finding of supper air which we now now as "oxygen". -
Joseph Priestly
Joseph experimented with Red Calx of mercury by heating this substance up and discovering it creates a gass. This gass was called super air by joseph who found that it was good for a mouse to breath in and when he breathed this super air he found that he felt light and easy. -
Lavoisier
Lavoisier takes an interest in Priestley's discoveries and decides to re-test all the findings as he was described to be a very wealthy man with an advanced laboratory. He also discovers Priestley's same finding, but he decides to present it to the public as "Oxygen" completely getting rid of the idea of "phlogiston". Lavoisier is labeled as the founding father of chemistry. -
Publication of the Old Periodic table.
Lavoisier went on to create and publish the first ever periodic table. although parts where wrong compared to the modern age periodic table, This was the first time anyone put a list of elements together with all the findings of elements. -
Alessandro Volta
Alessandro Created a new source of electricity by creating the first Battery which was layers of metal plates and cardboard submerged in saltwater. -
Humphry Davy
was a young Chemist who believed heat was a motion of particles. he tested this theory by rubbing two ice cubes together and watching them melt. In 1807 after the creation of the battery he used the battery to add electrical charge to pot ash. at this time he discovered "Potassium". -
Hydrogen Bomb Created
The Hydrogen bomb was created with the knowledge of how flammable hydrogen is.
