    Start of Kosa dynasty

    Ludomir Kosa unites a number of tribes in the Musitov region under his flag, and claims dominion over the region, beginning a dynasty that would last until the Sudden War.

    Kosa-Radislav War

    A brief but fierce war erupts between the Kosa Kingdom and the neighbouring Radislav clan. Kosa wins, but the king is so impressed that he takes the clansmen into his kingdom to form an elite military.
  • Period: 1083 to 1099

    The Blue Plague

    A deadly plague sweeps across the region, disabling it for years and killing an estimated 60% of the population.
  • 1230

    Battles of Yaren Hill and Orotav

    These two simultaneous battles mark the beginning of the war between the subterranean, dwarven Old Empire and the human and elven states in the region.
  • Period: 1230 to 1239

    The Sudden War

    The war in which the dwarven Old Empire invaded from underground and conquered all of the lands that would one day house the Free States.
  • 1232

    Kosa surrenders

    The last Kosa king of Musitov surrenders to the Old Empire in hope of sparing his people from death.
  • 1239

    Fall of the hold-outs

    The last holdout states are defeated by the Old Empire, and they begin their dominion over the region.
  • 1396

    Birth of House Lakatos

    Kaspar Lakatos betrays his neighbour to the law, and the dwarven Imperator of Musitov grants him a title of nobility in appreciation.
  • 1509

    The Crimson Week

    Dwarves in positions of power are regularly slain over the course of six days. The public is seen to be unwilling to help the dwarves find the culprits, but eventually the two perpetrators are caught and beheaded.
  • 1537

    Rise of the Free States

    The ambush on the Zhima River officially sets off the revolution against the dwarves. In Druzha in particular, the people rally behind the Yegorov family as they wage war on their Old Empire rulers.
  • 1542

    Retreat of the Old Empire

    The Yegorov-led coalition declares victory as the last dwarven legion retreats underground. The great slavery of the dwarves begins. Ivanos Yegorov is crowned King of Druzha, with his capital in Musitov.
  • 1548

    Antal Rebellion

    House Antal attempts to seize power from King Ivanos Yegorov. The monarch is quick to put the rebellion down, and every member of the Antal family is executed as a message.
  • 1566

    Capital moves to Sorodar

    King Ivanos Yegorov moves the capital from Musitov to Sorodar.
  • 1570

    Death of Ivanos I Yegorov

    The king finally succumbed to the illness that had plagued him for several years. The three kings after him prove to be far less powerful than Ivanos was.
  • 1572

    Death of Miklos I Yegorov

    He is suspected to have been strangled by his ambitious brother, who succeeds him as Kalman I.
  • First Yaren-Druzha War

    The two states come to blows over claims by the Grand Duke of Yarenia that his father had been assassinated by King Kalman's men. Druzha mostly tries to hold land while ignoring the seas. Yaren ships seize the town of Prava, forcing a Druzha surrender.
  • Death of Kalman I Yegorov

    Kalman is recognised as being the closest successor to being able to echo his father's accomplishments. He dies of complications from a wound obtained in a duel, and is succeeded by his son, Kalman II.
  • Start of Lakatos-Radislav feud

    A trade dispute culminates in two dead Lakatos family members and one dead Radislav. It begins a long feud between the two.
  • Orzel Revolution

    Constantin Orzel and his allies overthrow and execute the ruling Yegorov family. Constantin becomes Grand Prince of Druzha.
  • Orzel-Kosa alliance

    In an effort to strengthen their hold, the Musitov branch of the Orzels aligns itself with House Kosa, the traditional leaders of the city. The Kosas seem content to have a seat at the high table.
  • Death of Constantin I Orzel

    The first Grand Prince is slain by a bandit force that many suspected to be hired mercenaries, though no culprit was identified. He is succeeded by his son, who becomes Constantin II.
  • Second Yaren-Druzha War

    Yarenia attempts to invade Druzha after a marriage pact falls apart, but is repelled by an army led by Kasimir Radislav.
  • The Scorpio League

    In response to tensions with the northern Estari Empire, the Free States of Druzha, Yarenia, Morsia, and Zhyst sign a treaty wherein they will all unite to fight off northern aggression if it occurs.
  • Death of Constantin II Orzel

    The Grand Prince dies from a suspected heart attack. His six-year-old son is crowned as Constantin III, with his mother Renata acting as his regent for the next ten years.
  • Bodnar's wedding

    Bodnar runs from his own wedding, seeking to find himself in the wider world.
  • Nikolai's disappearance

    The only evidence that remains is his walking stick and a note written in an unintelligible language.
  • Sale of Volinskaya Mine

    House Varga sells their dying mine to House Novikov. Impressed with their sneakiness, the Radislavs become the patrons of Varga.
  • Last public appearance of Roman Orzel

    Since then, the leader of the Musitov branch of the Orzel family has only sent proxies to meetings. Many believe him dying.
  • Loss of Malina fleet

    The fishing fleet of House Malina is wrecked in a storm in the Corawyr Sea.
  • Murder of Teodor Zera

    The enigmatic lord is discovered in his study, apparently having been poisoned. His daughter Svetlana assumes control of House Zera.
  • Bodnar's return

    Bodnar Lakatos returns to his family, hoping to drive evil from Musitov.
  • Murder of Alina Lebedev

    The Radislav-born lady of House Lebedev is found with her throat slashed.
