Davy was born
Davy Crockett was born to john and Rebecca Hawkins. Davy was the fifth of nine children. His father john fought in the revolutinary war. John is credited for teaching Davy his rifle skills at a young age. -
Davy get married
he gets married to Polly Finley. despite initially proposing to John Canady's daughter who refused him. Davy and Polly have three children, one of which became a U.S. Congressman. -
Davy enlist in army
This is davys first enlistment in the army he also enlist later. Crockett enlists as a scout with Francis Jones' Company of Mounted Rifleman during the Creek War. He serves until December 24, 1813. -
Davy enters politics
After moving his family to Lawrence County, Crockett enters politics and is appointed County Justice of the Peace. -

Davy is elected for house of representatives
After running unsuccessfully in 1825, Crockett wins a set in the U.S. House of Representatives by defeating incumbent Adam Rankin Alexander. Crockett serves until March 3, 1829. And is re elected for another two years till 1931. -
Davy leaves for Texas
after Van Burens election him and thousands of other Americans make a journey to Texas which was then under the control of Mexico. -
Davy Publishes a book
Davy wrote a book about him self an autobiography. He wrote about his life and everything he has done. -
Davy arrives in Texas
after he left he arrived a few months later to Texas then under Mexican control. All the people there soon rebelled and tried to gain freedom from Mexican rule. -
Davy leaves to fight at the Alamo
fighting against mexico trying to gain freedom from their rule and helps try and defend the Alamo. All the American defenders die but it was a great battle sparking the start of the war with Mexico. -
Davy dies
Crockett is killed fighting in the final Battle of the Alamo. All American defenders were killed in the battle. Crockett was 49 years old. -
Davy becomes famous
Walt Disney begins the immortalization of Davy Crockett with a television show. Several additional shows and movies are created, turning Crockett into one of the country's greatest folk heroes.
