    Paul was born in 1924, in Vienna, which had become a place of famine, riots, and runaways in the aftermath of the first World War. Because of this, his family preferred he stay close, preventing him from interacting too frequently with neighbors and other children. This would later impact his schooling.

    Feyerabend graduates high school in 1942 and is then recruited to clean barracks under the Nazi campaign in the work service. He eventually tires of this position and pushes to become an officer, his main objective being that he wishes to avoid the front lines. He inevitably finds himself in action which leaves him temporarily paralyzed from the waist down, after being shot. After the war, he would take on a career in education as a lead in entertainment.

    Feyerabend eventually finds himself invested in sociology and philosophical works. This leads him to meet with Popper and Wittgenstein. He disagrees with Popper, and personally, it seemed Feyerabend "disses" Popper in his autobiography.
