    Pineda sailed over to the Texas coastline and made an inaccurate map of the coast.

    Alvar Nunez Cabeza de Vaca

    Alvar joined a large expidition led by the conquistator Panfilo de Narvaez, and became the first group to enter what is now Texas. After Narvaez drowns, Cabeza survives and becomes one of the main survivors of the hurricane. He and 8 other people stumble upon the Karankawas, who take care of him for 8 years. He becomes a shaman.Coast Plains, travels through South Texas Plains, Edwards Plains, Mountains and Basins. He goes home after traveling and writes a book about his experiences.

    Narvaez

    Narvaez's goal was to explore the Gulf Coast by land. He has Pineda's map, which isn't accurate, so some things go wrong. The Indians decieve the conquistators and point them towards central Florida. They were attacked and ended up getting stranded on Cuba. They make big rafts and decide to sail to Mexico. Hurricane comes, and Narvaez drowns.

    Fray Marcos

    His goal is to find Cibola. Start in Mexico ciy and go to El paso. From there they follow the Rio Grande up north. Halfway through New Mexico a messenger tells Fray they believe they found Cibola. Esteban dies at "Cibola" Fray Marcos becomes fearful and turns back as soon as he sees the town.

    Coronado

    Coronado's goal is to conquer Cibola for glory. route is the same as Fray Marcos. Coronado conquers Cibola to find that the houses are made of adobe, not gold. He splits the expedition in half and about 1000 of his men discover the grand canyon, while Coronado finds another tribe, that decieves him and leads him up north. He goes up from New Mexico into Texas, where they go north and see a camp the same as Cibola. he's a failure at life lol #getshrekt

    Moscoso

    His route is over by East Texas, where he meets the Caddos. He goes South, where he finds Oil. Now Spain has a claim to East Texas, and nearly everywhere else in Texas.

  • LaSalle

    Goal: Navigate and claim the entire land of Mississippi for France. Route: Mississippi River. After he claims all the land around the Mississippi River, He goes back to France and names the land Louisiana. He starts a colony near there that is New Orleans today, but as they go with their 4 ships, they get robbed by privateers. The first ship get taken, and one gets scared and turns back. One of them sinks, and the other one ends up in Matagorda Bay. LaSalle dies.
