Ptolemy XII flees
Ptolemy XII was not in the best standings with the Egyptian people. HE made them so displeased he felt he needed to run to Rome for safety. During his leave, his oldest daughter Berenice V seized the throne. -

Ptolemy returns
Ptolemy XII returns from Rome with an army to seize the throne again. He has his eldest daughter Berenice V killed and he assumes the throne once more. -

Cleopatra ascends to the Throne
Upon the death of Ptolemy XII, he leaves the throne to Cleopatra VII and her younger 10 year old brother Ptolemy XIII. She does not treat him as a co-ruler, these two begin their fight for the throne. -
48 BCE
Pompey Assassination
After being defeated in a battle with Caesar, Pompey flees to Egypt where he is ambushed and killed. Ptolemy offers Pompey's head to Caesar., who is upset by this turn of events. Cleopatra also meets Caesar. -

Caesar and Cleo Join together
Cleopatra is now intimate with Caesar, and allies. He uses his army to destroy Ptolemy XII who drowns attempting to escape the battle. Cleopatra is reinstated in power with her younger brother Ptolemy XV. -
46 BCE
Cleopatra Gives birth
Cleopatra's and Caesar's son Caesarion was born. -
44 BCE
Caesar is Killed
Caesar was feared by the Roman senate as too powerful, so they arranged for his assassination. Ptolemy XV is also poisoned, most likely by Cleopatra. -
42 BCE
Antony Emerges Victorious
Antony defeats Caesar's enemies and he become the dictator. During this time he calls Cleopatra to Tarsus and alter leaves with her back to Alexandria. -
40 BCE
Birth Again!
During this year, Marc Antony was arranged to get married to Octavia, Octavian's sister. Cleopatra also gave birth to twins from Marc Antony. -
31 BCE
Defeat at the Battle of Actium
Octavian finally corners Antony and Cleopatra's forces causing Cleopatra and her naval support to flee. Antony was destroyed but managed to flee to Cleopatra's ship. The two escape but upon hearing of Cleopatra's "death" he commits suicide. Cleopatra soon follows. -

Octavian vs Antony
Antony realizes he will never work with Octavian, and arranges to marry Cleopatra, greatly angering Octavian and starting a feud. Antony also gives Cleopatra Roman land.
