    Hilary Putnam was known as a major figure in the 20th century. He was one of the most recent popular scientists. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA where he expanded his knowledge and would soon lead to many great works. His contributions to science included metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of mathematics and of logic. Although he has made many contributions, he is best known for his work relating to semantic externalism.
