Hilary Putnam was known as a major figure in the 20th century. He was one of the most recent popular scientists. He received his Ph.D. from UCLA where he expanded his knowledge and would soon lead to many great works. His contributions to science included metaphysics, epistemology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of mathematics and of logic. Although he has made many contributions, he is best known for his work relating to semantic externalism. -

Hillary Putnam was born into a family which introduced him to science at a young age allowing for much of his success. Throughout this life he became a well rounded individual with many great works. Putnam was working as a professor at Harvard University when his life was coming to an end. Hillary Putnam lived a great life and had an impact on so many people from various fields before he died in Boston, Massachusetts.
