On his second expedition to Canada's northwest territories, Ross discovered Boothia peninsula, King William Island, and the Gulf of Boothia. One significance of his trip was that he spotted a whaler which is called, the Isabella of Hull, which was the same ship he went on with his first expedition. Soon later, Ross would be recognized for that. After his 2nd expedition, he took a 3rd which failed in the end.
