    Book Introduction
    The book 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' was written by Ransom Riggs and it is about a boy named Jacob trying to find answers to his grandfather's death and childhood.

    Jacob's Grandpa Dies

    After Jacob recieves a frantic phone call from his grandfather he goes to chech up on him. When he arrived to his grandfathers house he searched for him and found him sprawled out on the floor, soaked in blood in the woods behind his house. He eventually passed away due to the blood loss. He then felt as if there was something in the woods with him so he looks up to find a monster with tentacles sticking out os his mouth staring right at him.

    Letter from Grandpa

    During Jacob's birthday party, while they are opening presents, he recieves a gift which he thinks is fro his aunt but it turns out thatit's actually from his grandpa. Inside the packaging there is a book with a letter inside.The letter is written to Abe, Jacob's grandfather, from someone named Alma Peregrine.

    Jacob and his Dad go to Wales

    After reading the letter from Miss Peregrine, Jacob decides that he wants to go to Wales to find some answers about his grandfather's childhood. After lots of convincing and a final okay from his therapist Jacob's parents agree to let hime got to Wales."after that, things fell into place with astonishing speed. Plane tickets were bought, schedules scheduled, plans laid." (Riggs, 2011, p. 66).

    Jacob looks for the Children's Home

    Jacob and his dad decide to go find the children's home on their first day but his dad gets distracted with birdwatching so Jacob goes with two boys from the village. On their way there they prank him but Jacob tells them that he's being serious so they tell him where to go and leave him. When Jacob finds the house it is in complete ruins."What stood before me now was no refuge from monsters but a monster itself, staring down from its perch on the hill with vacant hunger."(Riggs, 2011, p. 83).

    The Truth of the Children's Home

    After seeing the house in that state Jacob goes looking for answers and ends up at the museum where he is told that the house was bombed during the war. He becomes even more confused because the letter that he had recieved was from just 15 years ago. He goes to see a man who had been living on the island his whole life and he says the same thing and he tells him the date too: Seotember 3rd, 1940, those were the words that Jacobs grandfather had told him before he died.

    Meeting the Orphans

    Jacob goes back to the house to do some more investigating.He finds an old suitcase that he can't open, so he throws it down the staircase and it falls through the floor into the basement. When he goes down to the basement he finds strange pictures of some kids. While he's down there he hears footsteps and voices, when he looks up to hole in the cieling he sees the kids from the pictures staring at him. The kids realize that they don't know who he is and run and Jacob follows them into a cave.

    Time Travel

    When Jacob goes into the cave it's empty so he leaves, on his way back he realizes that everything looks different and he doesn't recognize anyone in the pub. The guys in the pub start threatening him so he starts running and he hides, then he is taken prisoner by the girl from the house. While they're hiding inside of a house he notices that the calendar says September 3rd, 1940. The kids then take him to the orphanage and the headmistress explains eveything.

    Late Night Horrors

    Jacob and Emma go to the beach on nigh and Emma tells Jacob that his grandpa was a peculiar and that so is he. Later on Hugh and Fiona show up and tell them that something terrible happened back at the house. When they arrive they are told that another loop had been attack and some children and a headmistress had been taken. Everyone was on high alert.

    Kinapped

    Miss Peregrine and her friend Miss Avocet are kidnapped by a wight who turned out to be Jacob's therapist. The kids go to save her at the lighthouse. While they are there Millard gets shot so it is up to Emma and Jacob to save the ymbrynes. While they are fighting with Barron Jacob shoots him in the throat and the go look for the cage that he had thrown. When they find it they are attacked by men who came out of a U-boat. They are able to save Miss Peregrine but not Miss Avocet.

    Goodbye

    After everything that happened they go back home, when they get there they find it in ruins. After some arguing they decide to go to a different loop. Jacob tells them he's going to stay with them but first he goes to say bye to his dad. When he gets to his room he tells his dad that he was with his friends and he goes mad/crazy. Emma and Olive show up and show him their powers. After eveyone says their goodbyes they head to the docks and take some boats to find a place to start their new life.
