The Master of Two Worlds
Beowulf was able to become the mastery of two worlds because he accomplished more than any other leader could have done of his time. He let his fate get to him and thought he could tackle anything but he was not good enough to defeat Grendel's mother and died while trying. -

The Return Home
Beowulf successfully defeated Grendel. He went on to defeat Grendel's mother but lost in the processes of trying. He never really returns home. -
450 BCE
Transformation
When Beowulf believes that he is invincible because he beat Grendel. He becomes a true hero here because everyone thinks of Beowulf as the greatest. -
445 BCE
Abyss or Temptation
Loss of Beowulf so Hrothgar sends comrades to recount what Grendel's mother has done. -
440 BCE
Special Weapon
Beowulf's special weapon would be his sword. His sword is his special weapon because with his ancient sword he was able to defeat Grendel. -

Supernatural Helper or Mentor
King Hrothgar becomes Beowulf's hero. It was hard to choose one because Beowulf never really had anyone there for him. -

Challenges or Trials
Beowulf's biggest challenge is the battle with Grendel. He wants to win so he is known as very brave. Since Beowulf had experience fight he did not think that it was going to be very hard for him. -

Crossing the Threshold
Beowulf and his men sailed across the sea to fight Grendel. When they arrived they were ready to fight. They went to talk to Hrothgar to speak to him about Grendel because he had been hunting him for years. -
420 BCE
Call to Adventure
Beowulf heard about the terrors that Grendel was causing and set out to help. Grendel had been hunting the mead hall for 12 years now and killed 30 men, so Beowulf gathered his best men and sailed across the sea to fight the monster. -

Early Childhood
Beowulf's Dad got in trouble when Beowulf was younger. Hrothgar got him out and now Beowulf has to repay the debt. -

Beowulf was a strong, fierce, leader but his confidence got to him and he tried to do more than he was capable.
