Benjamin Buttons Birthday
In 1860, Benjamin Button was born in a hospital at the age of 70.

Benjamin goes to Kindergarten
At 5 years old, Benjamin was placed in Kindergarten where he would occasionly dose off during class, which annoyed his teacher to a point where she told the Buttons that their son was a hassle to have in the class so he was eventually removed. "He was removed from the school .. The Roger Buttons told their friends that they felt he was to young."(68) -
Yale
Benjamin had become a little more normal looking, considering his condition, when he got to age 18. His father reconginzed this so he sent his son up to Connectictut to "take examinations for entrance to Yale College."(69) The college registrar, Mr.Hart, Ben had to meet with to setup his classes didnt buy that he was 18 and denied is aceptance. -
Recieves his first job
At age 20, Benjamin acceps a job under his father at a hardware store. Roger and Benjamin become good friends now and consider eachother as brothers.".. They apperared about the same age, and could have passed for brothers. -
Mr.Button meets a girl
One night when Ben was out with is father, He met Hildergarde Moncrief who was the daughter of General Moncrief. He ofcourse lied to her about his age because he did not want to risk anything with her. 6 months later Mr. Benjamin Button married Miss Hildergarde Moncrief."The girl was slender and frial, with hair that was ashen under the moon and honey-colored under the sputtering gas-lamps of the porch."(72) -
Benjamin Joins the Army
In 1898, Benjamin joins the Army to fight in the Spanish-American war. He was not able to stay in the war because his hardware company was being neglected and needed attention."Benjamin had become so attached to the activity and excitement of army life that he regretted to give it up, but his buisness required attention, so he resiggned his commission and came home."(76) -
Benjamin hands over the Hardware company
The Hardware store was a legacay in the making in the Button family. Benjamins father passed the store down to Ben, and It was apparent that Rosce would too be passed the reings of owner over the familys precious hardware company."His social activites, of course, interfered to some extent with his buisness, but then he had worked hard at wholesale hardware for twenty-five years and felt the he could soon hand it on to his son."(77) -
Benjamin goes to College, again
When he appers 20 years old, Benjamin enrolls at Harvard University. His first year their he was on the football team and did really well. He is very popular in class so his college expirence is going smoothly. Since he gets younger every year, playing on the football team was harder and harder every year. "In his third year of college he was scarcely able to "Make" the team. He lost weight, and it seemed to be he wasnt as tall as before."(78) He was not able to play his senior season. -
Benjamin graduates college
As he got younger, College was more and more of a struggle for him. His work seemed harder and felt that he wasnt on the same level as his peers. Without football, college wasnt as fun was it was when he was dominating on the football field. He had his ups and downs at Harvard, but he graduated in 1914." He became known something of a prodigy--a senior who was surely no more than sixteen--and he was oftenshocked at the worldliness of some of his classmates."(78) -
Benjamin becomes a Grandpa and a very young age
In 1920 Benjamins son Roscoe has his first child. Ben was a 10 year old Grandpa. "The little grubby boy, apparently about ten years of age who played around the house with lead soldiers and a miniature circus, was the new babys own Grandfather."(81) -
He starts his third year of Kindergarten
Benjamin is so young now he goes to Kindergarten with his own son. They played with with strips of paper, mats, and chains. He was bad a few times becuause he was becoming younger. While Benjamin had to repeat kindergarten, his son Roscoe moved up a grade."He cried because the other boys were bigger than he was and he was afriad of them."(82) -
Benjamins life comes to a beginning
Bejmain had a wild run of life. He started as and old man, got kicked out of college, ran a hardware store, got married, and even had a son. Now that he was becoming younger it was hard for him to remember things because he was a baby."Then it was all dark, and his white crib and the dim faces that moved above him, and the warm sweet aroma of the milk, faded out altogether from his mind."(83)
