Becomes an owner of a colonial newwspaper
In 1729 Franklin became the owner and publisher of a colonial newspaper. This was one of his first great achievements. Also Frankln used this to get his fame. -

In 1737 was appointed postmaster of Philadelphia. He was appointed by the British. The postal service was greatly influenced by Ben Franklin. -

Ben Franklin proposed a plan
In 1754 proposed a plan for uniting the colonies under a national congress. This became the groundwork the first constitution. It was called The Articles of Confederation. -

Franklin testified in the British Parilament against the Stamp act of 1765. This helped secure the repeal of the act. -
