    4.) One very important conflict for Judaism was the Holocaust in World War II. This occurred 1939 to 1945, when the anti-Semitic Adolf Hitler invaded Poland. This led to Jews getting Israel. The main reason why this event happened was because of Adolf Hitler hating and wanting to get rid of all Jewish people, and having the power to do it.

    3.) One important holiday in Buddhism is Buddha's birthday, which is also known as Vesak. This is celebrated on the 4th lunar day of the month of May.
    4.) The Rohingya Genocide occurred on August 25, 2017. The Burmese military (Buddhists) attacked Muslim people in a Rohingya village in Northern Myanmar. 700,000+ refugees fled and 24,000 people were killed. This happened because the Buddhist Monks in that area decided to persecute the Muslim minority.

    1.) For Buddhists, there are four main sacred locations. Lumbini was Buddha's birthplace, Bodh Gaya was where he reached enlightenment, Samath was where he said his first surmon, and Kashinegar was his final resting place.
    2.) People who practice Buddhism believe that Prince Siddharta Gautama (Buddha) achieved enlightenment and if they use the Tripitaka and 4 noble truths they will achieve Nirvana (a more accurate term for enlightenment). They also believe that we must all go through suffering.

    Christianity Part 2

    1.) Two very sacred locations for Christians are Jerusalem and Vatican City. Jerusalem is where Jesus was brought occasionally as a child, where preached to the poor in his adult life, and where he was resurrected by god. Vatican City is the site of the tomb of Apostle St. Peter, and is where the Pope lives.
    2.) Christians believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as well as life and death. They want to make God and Jesus proud, and are split into Protestants, Catholics, and Orthodox.

    3.) Some Christian holidays include Christmas, Easter, Advent, Good Friday, Ash Wednesday, and Palm Sunday. Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus and the three wise men who visited him.
    4.) The Crusades are very important to Christian History, and lasted from 1096 to 1204. There were 4 main crusades, but they were all about the same subject. Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, and Islam territories all fought to find out who was the most powerful, and who would get control.

    2.) There are 1.9 Muslims worldwide, which makes up 21% of the world's religion. 3.45 million live in the U.S.
    3.) The holy scripture for the Islam religion is the Quran, along with the 5 pillars of Islam. These pillars are Shahadah, Salat, Zakah, Sawm, and Hajj.
    4.) The symbol for Islam is called a crescent moon and star.

    1.) Some holy locations for Muslims include Kaaba, Saudi Arabia, Mecca, and Masjd Al-Haram. Mecca is particularly important because it was the birthplace of the prophet Muhammad. Mecca is the holiest of the Muslim cities.
    2.) Muslims believe Allah is the one god. They also believe that Muhammad, the seventh messenger but first Muslim messenger, spoke to an angel named Gabriel before his trip from Mecca to Medina. Female Muslims wear hijabs. All Muslims go on pilgrimages and visit mosques.

    3.) Eid al-Fitr, Eid-e-Milad an-Nabi, Laylat al Qadr, and Ramadan are all Islamic holidays. Eid al-Fitr is a celebration to mark the ending of the month of Ramadan, where Muslims commemorate Muhammad receiving the initial revelations of god by fasting. Eid-e-Milad an-Nabi is a feast to celebrate the birth of Muhammad. Laylat al Qadr, also known as the Night of Power, celebrates the day that the Quran was first sent down to Earth.

    4.) A very recent event that involved the Islam religion was the Palestine/Hamas/Israel conflict that started on Oct. 7th, 2023, but has been going on since 1967. Israel is mostly made up of Jewish people, but Gaza and West Bank are occupied by Muslims. A Muslim organization called Hamas has been conflicting with the Israeli government and the mostly Muslim territories. However, many by standing Palestinians have been caught in the crossfire in an event that still hasn't been resolved.
