Who was Auguste Comte?
Born on Jan. 19th, 1978 in Paris, France Auguste Comte was a philosopher who specialized in Sociology and positivism. Although he passed in 1857, making him only 59 years old, he made significant contributions to philosophy. He was the founder of sociology and positivism. System of Positive Philosophy
Comte developed a system that brought together logic, math, and sensory experiences. "With this system is gave an understanding of human relationships much like that of the scientific method understanding the natural world." (Crossman, 2019). A General View of Positivism
This was another publication by Comte. In this he gives an overview of his social philosophy of "Positivism". He is focused on his concern for the need to reform, and progress society.

Sociology
Although Comte did not invent sociology he is credited for coining the term and elaborating on the field significantly. He divided the field into two branches, social statistics and social dynamics. "The Course on Positive Philosophy" (1830-1842)
Comte began this writing in 1830, he released a total of 5 books within the series. The first three focused on the physical science such as math, physics, chemistry. Where as the last 2 volumes to the serious, focused on the coming of social science.
