Anirudh "Ani" Nair was born on October 29, 1999 in Albany, New York to a family of Indian origin. Immediately Ani showed signs of more affection towards his mother rather than his father because his father was always at work. -

Infancy
Ani's early years were pretty insignificant. His dad used to work at The World Trade Center before the tragic terrorist attack. Almost immediately after 9/11, Ani and his family moved to Denver becasue his dad got relocated to there. Although Ani's dad didn't go to work on Tuesday (9/11) and survived, Ani still never forgot the fact his dad just survived due to luck. But during this time period, Ani was learning his mother tongue, Malayalam. -
Early Childhood (Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt)
During the period from 2001 to 2004, Ani's family moved from Denver to Houston. Ani's dad moved from his previous company to a new company in Houston, Texas. -
Preschool Years
When Ani first went to school, he barely knew English. He couldn't even ask to go to the bathroom because he and his teacher knew two completely different languages. But as preschool went by, Ani began to pick english words and meanings and began to slur between Malayalam and English. This will lay the fundamental tool of Ani's success, language. -
Industry vs. Inferiority (Ages 5 - 12)
As Ani porgresses through Elementary School, He began to learn math, science, grammar rules, and reading comprehension. He began to take in the outside world in terms of academics. His continued even through Middle School as he progressed gradually in each of the fields described previously. -

Identity vs Role Confusion

First Year of High School
Ani now is in high school and can feel the pressure mounting on him. His classes were relatively easier in terms of the other classes he will join in the future. -
Junior Year
This was probably the toughest year for Ani. He took 6 AP classes (out of 7 classes) and was in a various amount of extracurricular activities. Every day felt like a year for him, and various family problems like his grand-father's death kept him feeling down throughout the year. This struggle will make a lasting impression on him. -
End of High School
Ani got accepted into Columbia University with a 6.78 GPA by the end of high school. He left home and left like he had to start all over again and make new friends. He had to try to make new relationships without breaking old ones. He can't seem to find himself and can't seem to understand what he is. He has a passion for film, but he also want a stable job in finance as a back-up just in case. He feels lost. -

Young Adulthood (Ages 20 - 40)

Bachelor's Degree and Internship
Ani earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Columbia and got an internship from McKinsey & Co. so he can get some work experience and money to pay for his MBA. This will be significant because Ani now can get some real world experince and will become a more work - oriented person. -
Script
While Ani is working on his MBA and internship, he is simultaneously writing a screenplay for a movie that he wants to pitch to a production company. He finnishes the script and tops the Blacklist screenplay contest. He successfully pitches his screenplay and the movie is made. -
MBA
After finishing his MBA studies, Ani recieves his MBA in finance from Columbia Business School. He now has a degree that will give hima a stable job. -
Experience
Ani goes to a production company and becomes assisstant director to see some directing styles and techniques from an established director. He learns how to make a major motion picture. Meanwhile, he also makes a few short films. -
Marriage
Ani gets married to a nice, caring, and charismatic woman who is a doctor. He now has to look after his relationship with his wife and now has to treat everything differently. -
Director
Ani lands his first directing job with the same production company that made him an assisstant director. The film is amde and becomes critically acclaimed and a commercial success. His name is now established. His life is now to persue his passion for films. This event is one of the most significant in his life. -
Child
Ani is now a father and can't belive that now he has to take care of a child just like his father did for him. The responsibility now increases massively. -
2nd Child
Ani now has a 2nd child. He still struggles to fathom that he's a father with one child, but his second child now means that his life now has twice the pressure. -

Major Picture
Ani now has made quite a few films. Although not all of them are critically acclaimed, he continues to persist and make more films. This year he makes another film which becomes massively successful and earns him many accolades, including an Academy Award. -
Family Sitrep
Ani, who is now middle-aged and has one child in 7th grade and the other in 1st grade, now has to get ready for his oldest child to go into high school. -
Humanitarian Aid
Ani becomes a spokesperson and ambassador for UNICEF, a humanitarian aid organization. Ani thought he would be done volunteering in high school, but the thought to help someone out and raise awareness for a good cause pulls him back into it. This is significant because he feels "human." He feels like someone who cares. -
1st Kid in College
Ani's first kid now heads off to college. He gets the same feeling that his father got when Ani went off to college. It's hard to describe that feeling, but this events seems significant because Ani accomplished that he raised someone whjo can follow in his path. -
Renovations
Ani helps projects to build schools in third-world countries and parts of the US that need them. He still continues to make films, but by giving humanitarian aid he feels more of a part in others lives. -
Dad's Death
Ani's father dies at the age of 90. The man who Ani once revered is gone, but he realizes, as hard as it is to cope with, it is the circle of life. -
Lifetime Achievement
Ani continues to make critically acclaimed and commercially successful films. He wins the American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement award for his contributions to the American film industry. This is the first award he got for his lifetime achievements as oppossed to specific achievements. -
Honorary Award
Ani now gets get an Honarary Award from the Governers of the Academy of Motion Pictures and Arts. This is the highest award they give out and it for lifetime achievements. -

Mom's Death
Ani's mom passes away at the age of 93. Ani's mom was the closest person to Ani. But just like Ani said at his father's death: it's the circle of life. -
Grandchild
Ani witnesses his first grandchild. He reflects over his son's childhood and sees that those times will now be passed on to his grandchildren. This is one of those events which shows he's had a good and successful life. -
Last Picture
Ani makes his last film before he retires. His last impression on America's film industry. This marks the end of his carrer. -
Hearattack
Ani experiences a heartattack. Luckily he lives and makes it alive. To Ani, this signals that the end is near. -
Humanitarian Organization
Ani starts a humanitarian organization in his name. He wants to continue his legacy of hellping people in need out. -
Ani's Death
Ani passes away at the age of 84. He had a stroke in his sleep and the doctors couldn't save him. He engraved his legacy in the film world and in humanitarian aid. He lived the life he wished and wanted. he succeeded.
