Library of Congress
Library of Congress is born. On April 24, 1800 President John Adams said that books could be published and be purchased. The first ordered from London, arrived in 1801 and were stored in the library's first home which was the U.S Capital. -
Lewis and Clark
Lewis and Clark begin their famous journey into the American West. They were wanting to explore the Louisiana Purchase and the Pacific Northwest. The expedition lasted from 1804 to 1805. There were hardships along the way. -
Napoleon
Napoleon died because of exile. He escaped to France in early 1815 and raised a New Grand Journey. He was exiled to the island of Saint Helena off the coast of Africa. He ruled across Europe. In 1802 he established the Napoleon code which was the new French law system. He was later crowned the emperor of France in 1804. -

Charles Darwin was born in United Kingdom on February 12, 1809. He introduces the theory of evolution. He believed that monkeys and humans shared common ancestry. He made a book about Origins of Species in 1859. He later died in 1882. -

The Second Opium War ends in China. The Second Opium War or the Anglo-French expedition to China, was a war that resulted in the United Kingdom and the French fighting against the Quing dynasty in China. It lasted from 1856 to 1860.
