Alexander rented a snake for 12 cents from his friend Eddie. -
Bad words
Alexander was saying bad words so his father fined him for every bad word which resulted in the lost of 10 cents. -
Lost cents
Alexander lost 3 cents in the bathroom and 5 cents through a crack on the floor. -
Chocolate candy
Alexander ate the chocolate candy that was Anthony's so he had to pay him 11 cents. -
Magician
A magician did a trick with Alexander's money (4 cents) and that money was never seen again. -
Kicking
Alexander kicked a boy named Nick and since his father saw him he took away 5 cents. -
Garage sale
Lastly, Alexander decided to attend a garage sale in which he spent 20 cents in a teddy bear, deck of cards, and a candle. -
Tooth faling out?
Since Alexander had no more money left he tried making one of his tooth fall out but this didnt work. -

Alexander was not able to regain money so he ended with only the bus tokens that he had at the beginning of the book.
