In 1916, Einstein completed his work on General Relativity. (Meadows 229-248) Einsteins theory of General Relativity is also combined with his theory of Special Relativity. He thought that the spacetime around earth is the rotation of the earth. ("Einsteins Theory of") -
Einstein's first visit to the United States
In 1921, Einstein made his first visit to the United States. (Meadows 229-248) He traveled for two months through the eastern and midwest of the United States. ("Walter Isaacson on Albert Einstein in America, 1921") Many people were excited to see him beacause he was so well known. After a couple of his visits, he went to New York where him and his wife rode in a car for everyone to see him. (Dank 67) -
Produced model of the expanding universe
In 1930, Albert Einstein and Willem de Sitter produced a model of the expanding universe. (Meadows 229-248) After Einstein gave his amazing ideas on gravity, energy and matter they were able to come up with things about the universe. They came up with this idea in 1915 then they finally finished it. ("The Expanding Universe") -
Letter to President Roosevelt
In 1945, Einstein wrote a letter to President Roosevelt. The letter was about the substance Uranium and him knowing that it is going to be important. Six years later after that letter, there was a bombing in Hiroshima and Einstein discovered that it was made from Uranium. (Cane 145-147) -
Churchill visits Eisenhower
In 1953, Churchill came to America to visit Eisenhower. He mostly discussed things about war and communism. Churchill opposed communism. The last time he came to visit, he explored the battlefields of the Civil war that he had written about. (Grun 534) -
