    Alphonse Gabriel Capone, famously known as Al Capone, was born on January 17th, 1899, in Brooklyn, New York City. He was the fourth of nine children born to Italian immigrants.
  • Early Life

    He grew up in a rough neighbourhood, he learned quickly to fend himself and became involved in street gangs at young age. Capone's early life was marked by hardship and adversity. He struggled in school and dropped out at the age of 14 after being expelled for hitting a teacher.

    With limited opportunities for legitimate joined the notorious Five Points Gang, where he quickly earned a reputation for his fierce temper and willingness to use violence to achieve his goals.
  • Chicago

    In the 1920s , Capone moved to Chicago, were he would eventually become one of the most powerful mob bosses in the city's history. That was the time that prohibition was in full swing, and the demand for illegal alcohol was at an all-time high. Under Capone's leadership, Chicago became a hub of organized crime. His vast empire generated millions of dollars in profits, allowing him to live a lavish lifestyle and wield immense power and influence.
  • Challenges

    But Capone's reign of terror was not without its challenges. He faced constant threats from rival gangs vying for control of Chicago's lucrative underworld. To maintain his dominance, Capone employed a ruthless approach, ordering the murders of rival gang members and anyone else who dared to oppose him.
  • Charity

    Despite his criminal activities, Capone was revers by many in the community, particularly those who benefited from his generosity. He was known for his charitable endeavour, including organizing soup kitchens during the Great Depression and providing financial assistance to those in need.
  • End of his empire

    However,Capone's criminal empire would eventually come crashing down.In 1931, he was incited on charges of tax evasion,a move orchestrated by federal authorities who had been building a case against him for years.Despite his attempts to bribe an intimidate witness, Capone was found guilty and sentenced to 11 years at the infamous Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, where he continued to wield influence over his criminal empire through a network of associates on the outside.
  • Decrease and death

    In 1939, he was released from prison on parole, but his glory was gone. His health began to deteriorate due to syphilis, and on January 25th, 1947, he died of a heart attack at the age of 48 in Miami, Florida. Despite his infamy as one of America's most notorious gangsters, his legacy endures to this day,
