    On page 38, Scrooge finds out how his old fiance forgives him. "I do; and I release you. With a full heart, for the love of him you once were.'" (Dickens 38 IDE)

    On page 30, 7 lines from the bottom. "Your lip is trembling," said the Ghost. "And what is that upon your cheek?" Scrooge muttered, with an unusual catching in his voice, that is was a pimple; and begged the Ghost to lead him where he would." (Dickens 30 IDL)
  • Christmas Eve

    Christmas Eve
    Scrooge's old co worker's ghost visits him to save him from destruction and an awful fate. Afterwards, he is thinking about the strange visit. "Every time he resolved within himself, after mature inquiry, that it was all a dream, his mind flew back again, like a strong spring released, to its first position, and presented the same problem to be worked all through, 'Was it a dream or not?'" (Dickens 28 IDT)
  • Tiny Tim

    Tiny Tim
    Another heart change from Scrooge is when he sees Tiny Tim. Scrooge sees that he is sickly and weak and that he needs support. Scrooge decides that when he gets home (to his time) He will help them. "Oh, no, kind Spirit! Say he will be spared." (Dickens 52 IDS)

    Christmas Day
    After being shown the pain that he has caused, is causing, and will cause, Scrooge has a HUGE heart change, leading him to do many things that are out of character, like buying a massive turkey for tiny tim's family. Charles Dickens's book has a very happy ending. "I'll send it to Bob Cratchit's!" (Dickens 77 IDS)

    Scrooge goes to Church
    When Scrooge gets home, "He was so fluttered and so glowing with his good intentions, that his broken voice would scarcely answer to his call." (Dickens 75 D). He then hears the church bells calling him home, and he makes his way to the back of the chuch where the entire congregation is suprised to see him.

    Scrooge is nice to Bob Cratchit
    The day after Christmas, when Bob Chratchit shows up, Scrooge shows how he is a changed person by giving him a raise and telling him that he can now share the "warmth" which is a metaphor for the Joy that Scrooge is experience. "A merrier Christmas, Bob, my good fellow, than I have given you, for many a year! I'll raise your salary, and endeavour to assist your struggling family..." (Dickens 80 IDS)

    Scrooge wonders about the Man
    After multiple occasions of The Ghost of Christmas Future showing him people that have negative fellings about the man that died, Scrooge asks to see someone that has some feeling about the man's death. He is surpised to hear Mrs. Cratchit talk so negatively about the man.

    The Ghost of Christmas Future takes him finally, after many other trips, to see the grave that Scrooge has been dreading. Scrooge did not realize until he saw the gravestone that he was the peson that had died. Scrooge fell on his knees and begged the spirit to allow this to not happen."Scrooge crept toward it, trembling as he went..." (Dickens 72 IDA)
