Ebenezer Scrooge is a greedy, unhappy money lender. In "A Christmas Carol", we meet Scrooge in his office on Christmas Eve. He is with his worker, Bob Kratchett, and he is not interested in any of the Christmas sentiments or festivities about to happen. On the contrary, he says, "Bah Humbug!" when Kratchett asks if he can leave early, when children are playing outside his window, when his nephew invites him for Christmas, and when he denies to give charitably to some collectors. -
